$223.00 for a pair of tennis shoes should be against the law.

Those folks who are waiting in line sure could use that tax refund coming June for those shoes.

Did anyone happen to notice if that blonde chick who was wanting to buy all the iPhones was in that line?

I didn't see the photos - but man....

If I ever spent $223 for a pair of SNEAKERS - they better get me to work and back with little to no effort on my part. At least I would be able to justify the amount by gas saved....

So - do they jet you there or flap their wings?

If I ever spent $223 for a pair of SNEAKERS - I had better be able to slam dunk a basketball, too. I am only 5'6" and a 58 year old female. Guess I would have to be able to run a little bit, too. LOL

All kidding aside, many kids/young people have been robbed for previous versions of Airs. Since this is a limited release in just a few cities, if I were stupid enough to buy them, I would be afaid to wear them outside the house.

The sad part about that exorbitant cost is that little Felina and Xin Lu are making mere pennies to make them, while the fat cats are raking in the big bucks.

Over two hundred dollars for a pair of tennis shoes, over six hundred dollars for a cell phone, over a thousand dollars for a lap top computer, and we wonder why our economy has gone down the drain, and why kid's have no morals or judgement !

Scott is right on there....50 cents a day, and a bowl of rice for the workers......300% profit margin for the Nike execs.

The sad thing is, more and more stuff is being made overseas. We have to have clothes and shoes so we can't refuse to buy stuff and stop it. Some companies have figured out what is going on and say they have moved their manufacturing, but how do we know.

So, what I am reading here is individuals (all of you) feel the shoe is priced too expensively. At the same time, the people who make the shoe are paid pennies on the dollar (or even less). What would restore those jobs to this country?

An honest question, folks.

Marks, for US companies to stop paying their CEOs huge salaries so the American laborer could be paid a living wage.

BTW, I buy New Balance shoes because they are made in the US.
