OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON APPLE ORTHODONTICS WEBSITE:

Because of several incidents involving the conduct of Josh Howard, Apple Orthodontix cancelled its relationship with Josh Howard as well as the Dallas Mavericks at the end of last season. Mr. Howard is no longer a spokesperson for Apple Orthodontix or affiliated with our company in any manner.

Below is my email to Apple Orthodontics, please join me in making sure companies don't reward fools like Josh Howard, regardless of their stupidity and disrespectful attitudes.

 

I, as well as many fellow Americans, are appalled by Josh Howard's comments about the National Anthem of our Nation. He was derogatory and disrespectful to our flag and our Nation's Anthem, and ALL that they STAND FOR. All the men and women who have fought, and died, for our flag, for our nation and our people, were disrespected. I was extremely insulted and will NEVER forget it. I pray that Apple Orthodontics takes a strict stance on this issue and quickly denounces the comments made by your spokesperson, Josh Howard. And immediately removes said individual as spokesperson. I see no argument against pulling him, out of respect for Americans and our great nation. I feel that Apple should not continue to allow an individual who has complete lack of reguard and respect for the laws of our land, to represent their company. It is reported, police caught him street racing, at a speed of 94 mph, in a 55 mph zone. Additionally, he has publically admitted that he smokes the illegal narcotic, marijuana. Apple Orthodontics is, by associating itself with a known drug user, encouraging the use of marijuana; as well as sending the message to young people that marijuana use does not harm your teeth. I am hopeful that we will soon be hearing about the removal of Josh Howard as spokesperson for Apple Orthodontics. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. -A concerned American

I wanted to post something... but still, 6 years later, I have no words.

I still feel the shock, still feel the disbelief and the pain, the sadness and the anger.

I cry, tears are all I have, words cannot explain the emotions re-lived on this day.

What a beautiful day and night Wednesday turned out to be. We enjoyed Bedford's events and fireworks show. We sat by the water and watched the fireworks, there really is nothing like fireworks by or on the water...

It was a reflection time for me as well as emotional... I thought about the troops, those that I know and those that I don't, those that we've lost and those that are still fighting.

It was a time to be thankful for being an American and thankful for those that have and still do fight for us and for the freedoms we cherish.

I'M A BAD AMERICAN

I Am Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid
level governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart
American.

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does
not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where
they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled
Jerry Springer.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing
about it.

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven't burned any witches or
been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you
came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA .

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse
Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of
the problem and not the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry rear if you're
running from them..

I also think they have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the
law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think
it's good..... and I'm proud that "God" is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want
you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world
for the next four years.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me
stuff or trying to guilt me into making "donations" to their cause.

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two
parents.

And what is going on with gas prices... again?

I believe "illegal" is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.

I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.

So George Bush is at it again right.. he's gotten out his "Tornado-maker machine" in honor of the Queen's arrival, I suppose?!.. Oddly, I haven't heard any stories of looting or rapes or murders in Greensburg, Kansas yet. I guess they just aren't reporting it?!?!?!.. All I've seen is peaceful prayers and folks just thankful and happy to be alive and to hold their loved ones. Where is the violence that was excused in New Orleans because the people were dealing with "tragedy and loss"? You mean to tell me these folks stand up, band together and move on with God in their heart and love for one another?
You're d*mn right they do. Even with help offered, every single one of those folks will make it on their own. They'll stand back up on their own feet, and do what needs to be done because they'll CHOOSE to.  Not one of them will turn against each other or blame others for their situation. They'll turn to each other and to God to get them through. I will help these folks because they don't ask for it, they don't expect it and they will appreciate it. God Bless them all.

Saw the news story about Irving Elementary schools teaching every other day in spanish. They teach the class in English on Monday and then on Tuesday they teach the class in all spanish. So instead of learning something everyday, the single language kids are only learning every other day? I am so happy with our school district, HEB, and SO glad we do NOT live in Irving. I feel sorry for english speaking children attending Irving schools. I understand there is a large percentage of spanish speaking children that need to attend school but I just don't think this is the right way to go about teaching class. The spanish speaking children should be in a separate class until they learn english well enough to attend the english speaking classes. Am I alone in this? I just don't think this system they are using is helping the spanish kids learn to speak english, this should be one of the main goals for their instruction; That way the spanish children can integrate better into society because they would be able to SPEAK OUR LANGUAGE. Call me crazy but I think that may be a better plan.

I am so sick of criminals! I feel so sorry for the Ft Worth couple whose car was stolen and wrecked Wednesday evening. These folks were going to work, they WORK for what they have, they don't STEAL and break the law for what they have. I am calling around and emailing around to get someone to donate a car to this couple, let's get this done for them. Please if you yourself would like to donate a car or knows someone that might, please check into it. The couple now has no car to get to work in. They just finished paying it off and as anyone who has ever struggled to make ends meet understands, they only had liability. We may not be able to stop criminals from taking advantage of hard working folks, but we CAN help out those folks. Thank you in advance for helping out.
