When are the law makers in this country going to stop the madness of people texting while driving? As if talking on a cellphone without a handsfree device is not dangerous enough. I come from a "third world country" where by law you need to use them while driving. I constantly see people driving without thought for others because they are so involved in their conversations. Its time for the people that we elect to step up to the plate and make conditions safer for us all

Never happen here even if they enact a law.

We have enough LAWS on the books. The one applying to cell phones, texting, eating, etc. is called DRIVER INATTENTION. We don't need a law defining every stinking thing in the world. What's next, a law outlawing nose picking while driving???

Well gunrights laws are actually needed to have a disciplined society which is believe it or not a good thing, the point of the blog is that people are causing danger to others because of "driver inattention"

AS CORRECTLY POINTED OUT, there are already laws on the books.

More nit picking nanny state regulations just bring down the democracy, WHATS LEFT OF IT, a little bit more.

You are correct that the texting is NOT DRIVING but the above statements have to superceed your request

It would be hard for our local police officers to enforce a law against texting while driving, since I see so many of them do it while driving on 75 all the time. I can't forget the one that was using the laptop, holding a cell phone against his shoulder, and driving in the HOV lane at the same time.

Gun, not neccessary. You can pick your nose without taking your eyes off the road.;)
