A colleague stopped by my office today saying he'd decided to offer his girlfriend an engagement ring. This proposed marriage is not his first. One thing lead to another in our conversation and soon we were wondering what our ex's did with those symbols of mutual eternal love that didn't turn out to be so eternal after all....or maybe not even mutual.

Anyway, we didn't really know what happened to those rings that set us back a pretty penny. Did they hock them, have a nice pinky ring made or just toss them in the back of the dresser drawer?

So, I pose the question to all you ex's out there: Just what did you do with those rings? We're dying to know!

Well my wife now made a necklace out of her first husbands wedding ring. I think my first wife made a necklace out of some of my lost body parts. Since this is a public forum I won't say what parts. hahaha

I am still on my first wife, but my third wedding ring...does that count? The first one disappeared and the second one got upgraded earlier this year.

Um huhh. that is what I told my first wife. Honey that ring just disappeared. Rather than replace it she just got rid of me.

When my husband and I divorced, I was cleaning out his dresser drawers and lo and behold!! there was his wedding ring right next to his underwear (for those who know his history, his ring lying next to his underwear just seemed so wrong!!). Anyway, I proceeded to place his ring around a roll of pennies and threw it in the bag with his beloved Coca-Cola cowboy hat that I had just stomped on and now resembled a rather large frisbee.

Oh, by the way....the cheesy diamond engagement ring that he had bought for me 18 years earlier, well the diamond fell out of the setting sometime around our 10th wedding anniversary and was never replaced.

I kept the rings that my ex-husband gave me. One of my daughters will inherit the rings.
I'm wearing the rings and still married to the second husband. He's a keeper.

Have two dogs - Sam (named after the guy who brought me the only place to shop in my town - Sam Walton) and Billy Boy. I would tell you more, but the nurse is bringing my warm milk and my beddie-bye pill.
