Thank you Evan Andrews for remembering us in East Dallas. You broke into Regis & Kelly a few minutes ago to alert those in the east of the thunderstorm's location. I was able to let my dogs out for a quick break before the rain started. I have been able to count on Fox 4 for every severe weather threat when all other stations forget that lives do exist past Rockwall county. We can also count on you to give the Lake Tawakoni water levels which is of high importance to Dallas county since that is where they obtain the bulk of their water supply.
Everyone on Fox 4 does an excellent job. I travel a lot & dread watching other cities newscast. Keep up the great work!
When reporting area lake levels, you should always report Lake Tawakoni's. It is still extremely low and this is the largest water supplier for Dallas. If the Dallas residents see that other surrounding lakes are almost full and never see how low Tawakoni still is, they will stop conserving water, which right now is still desperately needed. Tawakoni's lake level needs to be kept forefront in their minds since it is still not at full level and Dallas continues to draw off it daily. I'm afraid that if they are not kept aware of this fact, the smaller water co-ops and special utility districts in the Tawakoni area that draw their water supply from the lake, will not have enough water to supply their customers since they have no other lakes to draw from.
