Congratulations to The University of Texas, Mac Brown, Colt McCoy and the whole team for winning a Big 12 game on Saturday.  I am sure that Iowa State is licking their wounds this morning as they took quite a bruising!

And talk about wins--how about Kentucky knocking off LSU by what 3 points in 3 overtimes.  Wow! exhausting!

And OU wins, had to come from behind to beat Missouri--a coupld of questionable calls, and missed 2 point conversions and extra point kicks.  But--Sooner Magic still prevailed, and THE SOONERS WON!

I know there are fans from Oklahoma State out there and so congrats to you too as you beat a big red team from the north conference of the Big 12--Nebraska.  Now, OSU go out there on Nov. 2nd and beat Texas!!!  Then both Okla. teams will have something to celebrate!

Oregon State has proven itself to be a spoiler in the search for the BCS Title by beating Cal.

Sooners may get to advance to 3 or 4 this week.  So, with one loss under their belt early against Colorado, and now all the major players having one game loss on their record. The road to that mysthical, magical title continues again next week!

Texas may win again  against Baylor!  And OU well I hope our game against Iowa State is a vicorious one.

All the winning teams fought hard to win this week,  and the losing teams fought to be winning teams as well, so congratulations to all players and coaches for a wonderful Saturday of College Football entertainment!

What can I say-----BOOMER SOONER!!!!      OU BEATS TEXAS!!!!!!

And to those of you who thought that it was a sure win for UT--well, I am not crying in MY beer!!!  Me and a big group of OU FANS are singing in our beers!!!  The sound of Boomer Sooner has never sounded so sweet!!!!

It was a very good college football day.  Some surprises--and some expected outcomes.  A & M beat OSU--go Aggies!  My oldest son graduated from A & M--so I am a Texax Aggie fan in that game!!!  Now, the one game we had a hard time with was the LSU/Florida game.  As an OU fan, we wanted Florida to win, but our neighbors who went to LSU and are huge fans--were watching football with us on this Saturday.  So, needless to say, while they yelled and cheered for OU.  We sat rather silent through the whole LSU/Florida game.   They even left at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and turned off that game thinking Florida had won.  And as we took our morning walk, here comes our neighbor happy as could be--LSU won in the last 6 minutes--so, goes to show you, as Cowboy fans know--sometimes even the last .50 can make a difference!   And, priceless, as Kansas University  beat Kansas State University--good deal--why? because Kansas State beat Texas the week before!

Oh and another good game interesting outcome--Standford over USC.

Now I think those polls for the BCS standings are going to do some major changing this week.

Since Texas is now in last place in the Big 12 south standings, I wonder how far down they will fall in the polls.  Well, better luck next year---OH Wait!  OU plays a strong Missouri team next week--gulp!  Will this be another Colorado type game for us to lose????  I hope not!!! I feel that Sam Bradford and company is coming on  better and better.  So maybe Missouri won't be too difficult!!  I think Texas plays Iowa State next week.  Good luck Texas--you may need a lot of that for the rest of the season!

Oh, and some football fans may not understand the current term of Book 'em Horns--and yet if you don't know why that is currently the going term for the UT football team, then I guess you don't follow college football very closely.[the term refers to the fact that a number of Texas' football players are in jail for some unsavory conduct off the field of play]

And I know a number of you sports people at Fox/dfw are from UT--and your coverage of the pregame events was great!  But, try to interview some OU fans next year!!!  Didn't see a single interview with fans from OU.  And there are many living here in the DFW area!!!!!!

GO OU!!!!!!  Where is all the blog talk about this game???  Doesn't anyone want to give a big "Book 'em Horns???"

Has this game lost its fan base????

Or, is it because the Dallas Cowboys are now in the plus column for 4 wins.  Anyway--since none of the UT fans want to support their team, I guess that this Sooner Fan has an open page for a Sooner Victory this Saturday!!!!

OK! So OU lost today- - by three lousy points.  And here is what I have to say to that--Colorado was at least ranked.  AND oh yes--UT who lost by 20 points lost to a team that is currently not ranked.  So, even though I have already heard a lot of chatter about UT's loss--well losing is not winning, so it makes me sad for the Sooner team.  But, their loss is maybe not quite as bad as the UT loss.  And so no matter what you longhorn fans try to surmise about your loss, it is by 20 points that you lost to Kansas State--a team not currently ranked.  OH, and you can blame it on the rain, or you can blame it on Colt getting his head or nose or ego bruised, or whatever sent him to the locker room early before the half.  But the record shows--20 is still a bigger loss point wise than 3 points. Texas's loss--on their own turf. OU's loss out of state.

So, this will be the week of guessing, and betting as to who will win in the OU/UT game.    My money is still for OU--so let the trash talk begin.  Let the shouts be loud for whichever team, and next Saturday I will be a proud OU fan singing the praises for this year's team, or I will be crying in my beer that Orange is the color of victory over red/white!

Need I say more??? It is all in the title of this writing.  OU didn't boggle the ball!! We are again in the win column.  But now, the real tests come!  Next week Colorado, and then, ah yes!  THE Longhorns.  So get ready all you UT fans to trash talk my Sooners.  And, may the stronger team prevail for that day, and the better quarterback for that day.  Each game, as we sports fans know, is a new game, and a new test of the players abilities.  So on Oct. 6 Colt vs. Sam--Brown vs. Stoops--Orange vs. Red--and Bevo vs. the Sooner Schooner.  Both very strong teams, both with the utmost desire to win.  And, it all may come down to the number of penalities, missed kicks (which OU had several tonight against Tulsa), fumbles, interceptions-----with OU and UT, maybe even a matter of 1st downs can make the difference in a winning team and a team that has a long trip back to their respective campus.

Of course, I think OU will beat UT, but then I say that every year.  And many a year I have been a sad Sooner fan for many days afterward.

But, for tonight--we have won 4 in a row!!!

BOOMER SOONER  BOOMER  SOONER!!!  GO OU!

I have a new on line blog title. A little bit of a new look, but it is still the sag who yells loudly for her OU SOONERS!!  And what a wonderful game last Saturday against Utah.  Again, almost flawless in our play.  AND "How About Them Cowboys"???  NOT BAD!!!  So winners all the way around

Now, OU plays Tulsa on Friday night.  And don't think this is a slam dunk.  But, OU would have to completely lose their control to boggle this one into the losing category.  I think we will win, maybe not a slaughter as we have been doing, but I hope the W column continues to fill up.  AND NOW--we can watch on a HD TV!  So, I can see my SOONERS in even more red and white then the past.

I am still here, just a different title for my blog.  But the same SAG and the same SOONER FAN!
