I have mixed feelings about how this is to be handled in the near future...

For those who are unaware, there is a soldier, Alex Jimenez, who has gone MIA since May 12. Officials said that his unit was ambushed and since than they are unsure of what might have happened to Jimenez. The wife has been found to be an illegal of this country and was threatened with deportation. They have given the case an inactive status for the time being, but it could be reopened.

I can not imagine what kind of picture would be painted if we deported the wife who's husband is serving, if not dying, for our country. BUT where do we draw the line? I am in support of people coming here LEGALLY and feel that something does need to be done about the situation at hand with all the illegals that are here in this country.

I'm at a loss for how this situation should be handled and what truely needs to been done with the situation this country is in. I don't have a problem with people moving to this country, there is a reason this country is so great, and it is because there is so much to offer, but do it LEGALLY.

Once officals find out what has happened to her husband, if he has lost his life, should she be deported? Should she be given the chance to then become a legal citizen? Do we just look over the spouses of those serving for this country? Once married, should illegals then become legal just because of marriage?

I'm at a loss...help me out.

I just read that there have been multiple arrests involving sex offenders using Myspace to prey on underaged children. The registered sex offenders have been using Myspace to find and talk with children. Many, if not all, have restrictions involving any sort of interenet access. Myspace has, for as long as the site has been up and running, not done anything about the REGISTERED sex offenders using their site, though it was known by them. They have also taken little action is protecting the children that are on the site. Up until just recently no action was taken. Within the past month or so, Myspace began to release the names of the sex offenders that were using their site.

It amazes me that this is even allowed to go on. What baffles me is the fact that it has taken this long for the lists to be released and for authorities to begin to make arrests. 7 in the state of Texas alone.

If they are known sex offenders, how come they are allowed on the site in the first place? Why is this even an issue? And why is Myspace not more willing to handle the issue?

This came from Yahoo:

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African workers striking over pay and benefits have a new complaint -- they no longer have the energy for sex.

Monroe Mkalipi, a regional chairman of the powerful COSATU federations of trade unions, complained that work conditions are so tough workers can't perform in the bedroom.

"The harshness that we have in all our workplaces is so severe to such a point that when you get home at night it becomes a problem expanding our families," the SAPA news agency quoted him as saying.

Public sector workers are negotiating with the government to increase pay for the first time since 2004.

I'm sure some have seen this. Its been going around in an email. I tried to check most of the statistics and if they were a stretch of the truth I removed them. Found this interesting though.

40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens in 2004 (between 1200-1500 people). Up to 2/3 of all fugitive warrents (17,000) were illegal aliens.

Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are here illegally.

Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD proper ties are illegal.

21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English.
3.9 mill ion speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County ).

Less than 2%
of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. In 1997, General Acounting Office (GAO) determinded that in 1995, households headed by illegal aliens received a total of $700 million in AFDC benefits and $430 million in Food Stamps.

The
cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION/year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University ]. The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE number.

29% of inmates
in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

If they can come to this country to raise Hell and demonstrate by the thousands,
WHY can't they take charge over the corruption in their own country?

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO

On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The crowd was
overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S. players before and after the match. The coach of the U.S. team, Steve Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession."

Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts. It's called
affirmative action or racial privilege. The Emperor of Japan or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent.

Corporate America has
signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know
that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals?

Did you know
that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so?

According to the L.A. Times,
Orange County , California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members, 98% of which are Mexican and Asian. How's your county doing?

According to a New York Times article dated May 19, 1994, 20 years after the great influx of legal immigrants from Southeast Asia ,
30% are still on welfare compared to 8% of households nationwide. A Wall Street Journal editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stating that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country faces." Not bad for a group that is still under 5% of the population.

Is education important to you? Here are th words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system.
"Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."

WHEN I WAS YOUNG

I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They
wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted to become Americans. Now, far too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges . affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

NOW

WHY CAN'T WE SEND THEM HOME

I've been reading a lot latly about the debate of who should get the job of managing and running the new 121 Toll Road. Today I saw that many counties in North Texas are now making so called "wish lists" for what they want to spend the money from the toll road on. They are wanting to use the money that is going to be generated OUTSIDE their country to spend as they please.

Does anyone else see a problem with this?

It is estimated that the average driver that uses 121 to drive to and from work will now spend $700 anually to use the toll way. Since its the residents of Collin County shelling out most of this money, wouldn't it be right to allow them to decide how this money is spent? The Mayor of Frisco said, "We want it to be the lowest possible rate it can be to pay for debt, maintenance and operation and improvements." In contrast with that though, the chairman of the Texas Transportation Commission has said that its not the state's reponsibility to keep tolls affordable, only to build roads. "That's not our strategy. Our strategy is to let the consumer, the product, decide whether it's worth a buck or 10 cents or two bucks a mile, or whatever it is," Williamson said.

Just thought I'd voice my thoughts on the matter. My family lives in Frisco, so during the summer I'm up there using the toll roads and they use them as well. In my opinion, I'd like to see my money turned around and used to benefit my family and the city they live in.

College student who has more time on my hands that I know what to do with. I decided reading other's views on things would help me to become well rounded. I'm 20, down to earth guy, who is willing to try anything once. I refuse to take life seriously. And I believe everything happens for a reason.
