Studley's Blog

It's that time of year again.

Time for Mike Doocy to trash-talk everyone.  Time for Ron Jackson to continue to dominate.  Time for Megan Henderson to be even more competiive than last year.  Time for Heather Hays to "Take Back The Tiara" (although she'll need three of them this time).  Time for Natalie Solis to be invited to pick some games this year.

Time to see if I can finally get a 16-0 week.

Time for NFL Picks.

The Giants beat Washington tonight, so I'll be working on 15 games instead of the usual 16 this week.  There will be two games on Monday Night to start the season.  Here we go....

Cincinnati over Baltimore - Chad Ocho Cinco.  Hmmmm....I'll have to have a bit more time to get used to that one.

New York Jets over Miami

New England over Kansas City

Pittsburgh over Houston - Could go either way.

Tennessee over Jacksonville - Could go either way.

Detroit over Atlanta

Seattle over Buffalo

New Orleans over Tampa Bay - Could go either way, since the Saints had to move to Indianapolis to escape Hurricane Gustav.  That in and of itself was disruptive.

Philadelphia over St. Louis

Dallas over Cleveland

San Diego over Carolina

Arizona over San Francisco

Indianapolis over Chicago

Minnesota over Green Bay

Denver over Oakland - Mike Shanahan has the Raiders' number, that's for certain.  Revenge really is a dish best served cold.

Nah, my Packers are gonna surprise everyone and kick some purple butt, with the first time starter and all.

I also pick the Rockwall Yellow Jackets over the Dallas Cowboys by 21. LOL!!

I do hope they pound Minnesota. I haven't cared for the Vikes since Bud Grant left a long time ago.

I'm already wearing my Packers jersey and my cheese hat even there's 50 hours or so till kick off time for the Pack.

Two games worth watchin tomorrow. I realy want to see what Favre's gonna do with the Jets tomorrow and all eyes are on the Cowboys since they are favored by many to win it all. I expect a blowout by the Cowboys and Derek Anderson to leave in the second qtr with another concusion due to a hard blow by Tank Johnson.

I like the Cowboys but I don't see a blowout coming. Cleveland has a very good offense and the Dallas defense is very suspect. I expect a shootout but hope I am wrong.

I would prefer a shootout. Makes the games more fun to watch. I don't know much about the Browns except what I've heard on the tv.

Sounds like they're banged up a bit. The qb gonna start after getting rattled in the second preseason game and missing the last two games.

Romo is a great Qb and the Boys have a monsterous O line. I'm curious to see what the Dallas D is gonna do.

They're flaky in the secondary and Cleveland is a passing team.

Looks like we're putting the smack down on them! 28-7 with 3:50 left in the 3rd quarter.

Well, it looks like the Cowboys abused the Browns. I don't see how anyone will get to Romo too often. I think they have the biggest O line in the world. These guys litterally just slapped the defensive guys around and knocked them aside.

However, I'll be impressed if the Boys beat the motivated Eagles next week. McNabb had a field day today.

Next week ought to prove interesting. The Eagles are certainly no slouch.

McNabb wasn't playin around today. This dude racked up some yards and tds in the 1st half.

Interesting games. I was shocked to see the Chargers lost. Atlanta's RB had an outstanding game. Brady out? I thought Seattle may be playoff caliber team this season, got TORE UP by Buffalo.

I can't wait to see next sunday already.
