Tragedy seems to really follow this lady! She just gave birth to her baby girl (Sept. 7) and then her 20 year old son dies (Sept. 10)! I may not have agreed with her lifestyle but I am praying for her during this time of loss.

I happened to flip over to another all-news network and they actually had two men debated about this topic! Come on! I stopped watching survivor after the 2nd season but I actually may tune in this time. I personally feel that the "person" who wins this competition will have to be someone who can work with people of ALL races. Whether or not you like the show what do you think about a reality show that plans on dividing by race and the seeing who can win?

I want to give a big "thumbs up" to the companies who came out to offer jobs to ex-offenders. The line that wrapped around the building was a very good sign that "if you offer, they will come". Some people do want to turn their lives around, but if you come out of jail with no hope of getting a job going back to old habits can be very tempting. I hope the city will support more job fairs like this that can make a difference.

Ummm.. I am left speechless by the train wreck I witnessed Sunday evening! I tried to have an open mind but about maybe 4-5 seconds into the performance I was done. I know Mr. Spears may have it hard in that his wife has such a well know name but come on! Everybody is entitled to dream big but somebody should have sat him down and lovingly told him that rapping just isn’t his thing! What disturbed me the most wasn’t the dancing which was nice (and may I add much more interesting that K-Fed), but what he was actually saying. He had the nerve to call out his cars and all money he had and all this other stuff. Ugh…. I have to go clean my ears out now and place this record on the shelf next to Deion’s and Shaq’s! LOL Good evening ya’ll!

I never thought I'd ever write a blog in the "sports" category but this story really caught my eye. Tour de France winner, Floyd Landis has failed the "b" second sampling drug test. I was really hoping that the first test was a mistake but the results speak for themselves. I'm not sure where he goes from here but the story really got me to thinking that maybe we should have a separate sports league for those who insist upon using performance enhancing drugs. Of course each athlete would have to take totally responsibility for any medical damage done to their bodies throughout the season. But at least we, the sports fans, would have a choice between all-natural baseball or chemically enhanced baseball. OK, maybe I’m being silly but I have taught my children that if they work hard enough and are blessed with a natural talent that they could become just like their favorite sports person. Life isn’t fair and everyone cannot get the same training, the best practice equipment, etc. But one factor everyone can leave out is DRUGS! Landis still proclaims his innocence and plans to fight the allegations against him. God bless throughout all this mess.

I had to write about my littl girl turning four. I have no idea what we are going to do tonight. We may go see The Ant Bully or just hang out a bit at chuck e cheese. It's so funny that I have such a girly-girl when my idea of fun growing up was exploring all the creeks in White Settlement! It is really cool to see the world through her eyes. She means the world to me and I know I will be crying when I take her to school in two weeks. My daughter has really softened me and she really makes me stop and smell the roses. She has shown me that an entire world can be created out of what looks like trash. This girl just makes the best of whatever you give her.Happy Birthday Sweetie! I Love You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never thought I would be one to try to rush time but I am so-oo-oo-oooo ready for school to begin! LOL! The heat has limited our outdoor activites so this SAHM is going bananas. Feels good to let this out!

My heart goes out the family who lost their precious little boy. Why in the world would anyone take a group of children out to play in such heat??? God knows how many times the director has gone off to run an "errand". I’m sure this was a tragic mistake but come on!
