A little boy goes to his dad and asks, 'What is Politics?' Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me The President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we will call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense.' So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents' room and finds his mother asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, 'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.' The father says, 'Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.' The little boy replies, 'The President is screwing the Working Class while theGovernment is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep BLEEP.

... Get over yourself...
This is ridiculous, anything to make something sound racist. Dark is dark... night is dark, my toast this morning was dark, I like my coffee dark- I can only sleep when its dark. For God's sake, no one said anything about your being black... and your statement about having to be black to understand, I for one feel that is a VERY racist remark.
Racism works 2 ways. I for one feel that it is racist that we, as white folk do not have our own college scholarships and magazines... I do not see the'white version of NAACP anywhere, nor do I see white entertainment television... THAT my friend is racist. But you don't hear me screaming about someone saying the word light and claiming its racist... DHave you ever heard of a white person suggest we change the name of Animal Crackers... because we feel like its racist, no because we are grown folks, we know whats meant racial and whats not. grow up and take a look around just because MANY years ago, your ANCESTORS were forced to be slaves, says nothing about the world today! NOTHING! America does not have slaves, everyone works for their money, white and black alike.. That said, I believe you are making a mountain out of a mole hill, just to avert the attention elsewhere... what are you covering up Mr caraway... What was being discussed, that you so diligently changed the subject to mean something racial...
I for one, do not wanna hear this crap, your job is to discuss the welfare of your city, not the way someone's statement made you feel- discuss that on your own time... when our tax dollars aren't paying you!

I am an full blooded American Woman and have never taken the time to vote, thinking what difference can my one vote make? As I grow older I realize that my thoughts and beliefs are as much a part of the American way as any other.
I must admit, that I do not know what's best for America, I do know that I would like for illegal immigration to stop, the troops to come home, (although I believe we have every right to ber there to protect our America). I believe that gun control should not take away the right to bear arms from ANY American citizen.I know that we need to find another energy / fuel source. These aer my top 4 reasons for voting, but know that there is so much more at stake.
I have heard many many rumors about Obama, his beliefs and the short time of 140 some odd days he's spent in congress before becoming a presidential candidtate. I have heard rumors of McCain and Palin too. I do not have a clue which of these are true and which are false.
I do know that I want to vote this year, I want for my vote to count, I also know that I want to vote for the best possible candidate and need to find a way to distinguish rumor from truth. If anyone knows of a web site or somewhere I can read up on the TRUTH about our presidential candidates, it would be enormously helpful!!!
Lastly, If I have anything to say to those that are vcoting for the wrong reasons... for goodness sake people, please do not vote for a candidate because of his race or gender - vote because that candidate knows that America was founded on certain beliefs, and for America to thrive- we NEED the best possible candidate to be Commander In Chief.

So last night I see on Fox that there are ALL these people complaining because of the location of the voting etc., that they have to wait outside in the mud (be glad it wasn't raining) My thought is this. We real Americans have been voting in places such as these for much longer than alot have been alive. You have the audacity to complain because youre having to wait outside.
Tell me anyone, how many of those people have voted before? None of them gave a damn until this year and suddenly, all walks of life are comming from out of the woodwork. I will tell you why...
Sadly, many of them are voting for Hillary becasue she's a woman and not for her beliefs and the things she can do as a president. Most just want Bush out of office and will do whatever it takes. But Hillary was already president, and she allowed her hubby to 'not have intercourse' with the intern, what makes you people think she can run the country? Also, how does HIllary plan to speak with Indian leaders- since women have no right in their country, women don't have the right to vote, or even speak without first being spoken to- so how does she plan t handle a situation such as this- When she says that they will need to be searched for nuclear bombs, they may ignore or laugh, but she will not be taken seriously. One has to wonder why things are still this way? Some believe that a woman president is just what Americam needs- I disagree, but thats not the point of my blog.
How many of those people are voting for Barack because he's black- not for his beliefs and what he can do for our country. But because they are black and believe that the black man will have more rights or sayso once he's in office. Some believe that there will be major rebellion in the case that Obama is our next president, that Obama will insist that african americans receive certain ammenities that no one has ever received before. And then there are the hateful ones.... white supremecists, I don't know any personally, but can just about guess that they will do something to overturn the black leadership.
I have spoken with several people who believe that if Hillary OR Obama become president, that they will not stay in office long. What are your thoughts?

So I heard a little this morning about the bus brawl in Arizona, I JUST looked at the video, disturbing. I have to say that from my perspective, it doesn't look like that bus driver did anything worng. That lil girl screaming at her and hitting her- she had EVERY right to protect hersefl- and kudos to the bus drivers daughter for standing up to 'miss thang' . Those kids are in her care until they're dropped off at their house or appropriate bus stop. She was doing her best to maintain their ssafety. Someone needs to inform the little teeny bopper b*tch that started all the trouble that the rule of being quiet is there for a rason, the rule to stay seated and behind the white line, also there for a reason!!! How dare she think that she is above the direction of that bus driver!!! This whole deal with the kids calling their Moms, I would have let them call all they want, I would have spoken with the parents and I would have told the parent that they can either be dropped off at their regular bus stop, or can be picked up at the school upon my return, i will be damned if I allow a little teeny bopper (for lack of a more approriate word) to get me all worked up as such!! I hope that lil girl gets suspended for the insubordination- clearly shown on that video...
Which she speaks of... someone needs to remind her that the camera is there for the protection of the bus driver as much as it is the students and that everything that she did will show what a little BRAT she is!!!

I saw on the news the controversy over the Dallas Police getting incentives... I think maybe they chose the wrong word... friendly competition is a much better term. In my opinion, this is just another way for them to get 'one up' on criminals. If these cops are doing their jobs, as usual... maybe even put forth a little EXTRA effort to get the criminals off the streets, then GOOD!!! I for one prefer that my car, purse or other personal belongings aren't taken, especially my life, as this happens regularly in the metroplex. I prefer they have an incentive EVERY month. Keep in mind, if you're doing NOTHING illegal, you're not going to be in danger of getting in trouble. For everyone to complain that they're getting incentives, please! You all know that a job is a job, some include bonuses, and incentives or friendly competition, some do not- but these things are not FORCED in or our of any of these offices, so what makes the Dallas Police Force any different, they are humans too, and everyone deserves an extra reward sometimes!
I would love to hear everyone else's thoughts...
