The High Priestess of Relativity has passed on the idea of having Sarah Palin on the show.  Apparently this has sharply divided her staff.  She's getting tons of requests from fans to have the first female VP candidate in the Republican Party on but has so far refused.  Scooped by Drudge.

BIG DILEMMA: OPRAH BALKS AT HOSTING SARAH PALIN; STAFF DIVIDED
Fri Sep 05 2008 08:55:46 ET

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America -- but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!

Oprah's staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

"Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on," an insider explains. "Oprah's website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama."

One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!

It is not clear if Oprah has softened her position after watching Palin's historic convention speech.

Last year, Winfrey blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography.

Oprah and executive producer Sheri Salata, who has contributed thousands of dollars to Obama's campaign, refused requests for comment.

Oprah has always been a pain in the arse. The best she ever looked is when Harpo beat her in The Color Purple.

Oprah like O-man are licking their wounds.

This is a statement out of the SunTimes in England.

I liked this out of the article.

Showing steel beneath her magnolia jacket, she slaughtered Obama’s lack of experience, his vanity, his emptiness beneath the windy waffle.

It was the most powerful demolition of the Democrat hero I have heard in two weeks on the US election trail.

In other words O-man is done. Palin stuck a fork in him.

Dude. Phil. C'mon. Isn't Harpo the name of her company?

I stopped watching Oprah. She has her own agenda that she wants to get across and I guess when her money and her own show she is entitled to do it but I don't have to watch.

How many thought the tears were over the top during the DNC? I thought maybe she was going through attention withdrawal.

Proud - that is also the name of her company.

NorthTX - she was crying because Nation Of Islam was sitting behind her. KIDDING!

It is also Oprah spelled backwards. I've actually never seen the movie.

Good morning!

I don't care what Oprah has to say. I can't stand her. I don't know how she makes the moulah she makes.

And I don't think her endorsement of Obama helped him one iota.

Actually it did help him at first, but it caused a lot of people to stop watching her show so she quit appearing with him.

You love Oprah. In the pants. She makes money because overly emotional women want to feel better about their sad lives. There are a lot of 'em.

He and Oprah went to the same "church" for a while too - until she had the common sense to leave the "church".
