Buy American: Now More Than Ever

Whilst the drama over the toy recall in China marches on, I was brought back to a time when something like this would have never happened!   You guys remember, right?  Back when, in the long, long ago?  It was referred to as the 'Buy American' era, remember now?  A time in America where a man's wages was equal to his experience.   That time in history when American made products were the law, and accidental defects were non-existent.  That's not to say that some mishaps did occur!  Along with technolgy there comes danger, okay?  It is up to those who are extremely qualified in their skills to prohibit this danger.   If this means paying more money so be it!   If history has a way of repeating itself, perhaps we should repeat that now and bring the 'Buy American' campaign back into being.

I can remember the days when if you had something in your home labeled "MADE IN JAPAN" you tried to keep it hidden so no one would see it.

Japanese imports were considered to be far inferior to American made

I'm with you Reb...I've always bought American products when I could and I think we should all do so!!!

I have never even bought a foreign car and I NEVER will!
