Seems like illegal immigration isn't the only thing on people's minds these days. Once at the forefront of news headlines and such it has since taken a backseat in favor of healthcare and what to do about it. With the advancement of medicine comes longevity. Hence people live longer and therefore need more care medically to ensure that life. Take that into account along with the population explosion of Mexicans, Cubans, Latinos, etc... and you can see why healthcare in America is quite popular than once thought. With more and more people without health insurance and the cost soaring ever higher it will definitely be a factor in the upcoming election. A few of the candidates have already made known their concerns and what their plans are to fix it. So far the best one out there is Sen. Hilary Clinton's although it does have it's faults. However, it seems to me that before one can devise a solution they have to address the reason's why a solution is needed. How did it get this far, this bad? We had a good healthcare system at one time, didn't we? Sure we had to pay high premiums, that goes without saying but we did have access to affordable healthcare! What happened between now and then? These are the questions that I feel need to be addressed before any type of solution can be devised. Perhaps they ought to consider what many of us have known all along, that it's the illegal immigration of Mexican's and other latinos. They are the one's to blame for the healthcare problems in America! Just ask any hospitals in town! Parkland, Children's Medical Center, Arlington Memorial, JPS, etc...! Question a few of the doctors and nurses there, they'll tell you what's up! These people are crippling our medical facilities and we are the one's having to pay! Hello! Who else are they gonna get the money from to take care of these guys, huh? They come here illegally, give birth to children knowing this makes them American born and therein the problem lies! Hey, when was the last time you checked into a hospital, huh? Well, I checked into one not too long ago and do you know how long I had to wait? A little over three hours. Why, you ask? Because they had to get copies of my DL, insurance card, SSN, all that crap that's why. All the while I see one illegal after another being ushered in without even showing an ID or green card! Yet I have to wait and pay not only my premium for the month but fifty-dollars as a co-pay! Healthcare system overload, you betcha! Need I say more? Hey, before you can devise a solution you have to address the problem first and the problem is illegal immigration.
