Happy New Year everyone!  Okay, I know that Obama's winning the South Carolina primary might be "big" news for some, but to us old hats out here it was anything but.  It was South Carolina after all, okay?  Next to Mississippi and Alabama it has the greatest population of African-Americans and, when you factor into it the poverty level of most and the lack of education you can see why he won the damn State so easily!   I hate to play the race card here but it's the only card left to play.   This win in South Carolina means nothing as far as the Presidency is concerned.  This win in no way guarantees victory for Obama and his supporters by any means.  Ya'll know TheReb predicted what would happen to Obama and his bid for President and that prediction has not changed.   With each little step he takes torwards the White House ever longer grows the line of those bent on him not reaching it.  Hey, I like the old boy myself.  He has some pretty good ideas and we could use a newbie.  However, it is going to take more than a few choice ideas to get our Country back on track the least little bit.  It's gonna take alot of experience and this my friends is what Obama lacks.  My advice to him were he here in front of me right now sharing a smoke would be to drop out of the race, put all his support and backing behind Hilary and go as her running mate.   This way he not only saves himself, he will have four years with which to gain the experience needed in order to achieve victory.  Listen, it's gonna take more than four years to set this Country back to it's former self.  Like I said, I like the old boy myself despite his color.  I feel he has alot to offer this Country, but he needs a bit more experience before I'll be comfortable enough voting for him.  But, a Hilary-Obama ticket?  Now that's one event I'd pay to see!

there's just something bout Obama that I don't trust.....but then again, that doesn't make him any different than any other politician....as usual...my decision at the polls comes down to...."who do I dis-like the least"......sad....

High Priestess of the KKK huh? I like it, laydownsally! Has a good ring to the ears don't it? I'll make a note to attend the next meeting in Vidor. Electing myself High Priestess will be a bit difficult being atheist and all, but I'm willing to give it a go! History does have a way of repeating itself, after all. Yeah, I can run for office by getting the blacks and whites togehter by saying we're fighting a common enemy. Namely, the illegal spicks coming to our home! It's been done before, remember? Back in the 50's or somewhere along that range, right? Thanks for the idea, baby! ted-mania, my condolences to you and yours. I feel the same as you concerning the pickings we have this Year! I dislike Hilary the least! Obama doesn't have the experience, you know? Ideas are one thig, but experience is needed this time around, and Obama just doesn't have it.

I like Obama. I believe that's the fresh blood we need in office, as he probably hasn't been corrupted yet. A fresh young mind, not polluted by special interests groups and self-serving agendas. I just hope Hillary dosen't worm her way into being his running mate. Never did think much of her.

Whatever political party loses this election is going to whine to high heaven (which does exist, Reb). This election may be the first in a long time to provoke violence, like riots and killings. I "feel" it.

You said it scottythecomic! Welcome to the real world! HappyMommyof2, couldn't agree with you more, but I wouldn't worry your pretty little head too much. Obama won't come close to winning the White House. Poor boy's walking the Green Mile as we speak and he knows this! Lost_Hwy, sorry you feel that way about my woman Hilary. I still say she is the odds on favor to win, but you go right on ahead driving that lost highway, see how far you get. For your sake I hope you have 'OnStar'!
