Hi Everybody! I have been off the last couple of Fridays - so sorry for not posting a VV blog. But I am back and ready to read what you have to write - about the calls and comments that came in this week from other viewers. So watch the VV and then let us know!

OK - the top topics on your mind this week...

1. Blynthia Washington - the daycare owner who faces felony charges for the death of 4-year old Jacob Fox. Most of who who left comments about Washington, told me some pretty creative punishments for her, if she is found guilty.

2. Teen Killer? - This is that Frisco teen who admits to randomly shooting another teen. Many of you blame the teen's parents for the "time bomb" in the making.

3. To Honk or Not to Honk - Hmmm... not a question we usually stop to think about before we hit the horn. But maybe we should after a woman is given a $110 ticket - after honking at an off-duty officer. Big surprise?? Everyone who called in sided with the driver!

4. Another Big Rig Chase - Yep, it happened again. Police go after a big rig. But this chase was in California - and some tell us "Please no more chases!"

5. Drunk Hollywood Hunk - Most of you told me - "Leave Mel alone. He was drunk. We all say stupid things when we are drunk!" Really?

6. Doocy Duet - Ah, yes - what a treat to end the Voice on. Some of you wrote in and said - "Enough T.O.!" So Doocy did a duet with another Cowboys member at "FOX-nard" - and this is one diddy you don't want to miss!! :)

Have a great weekend everybody!! See you next week!

On the "To Honk or Not to Honk" issue. I feel that the officer was over stepping his bounds with the ticket writing, more of an "Abuse of Power" issue if you ask me. So she honked her horn, big deal...If it was Joe Public she honked at everyone knows nothing would have happened. If a complaint was called in they would have been laughed at. Maybe they need to send this officer to New York City for a day, so he can learn what real horn honking is. The poor wittle baby...Give me and everyone else a break!!

I cannot believe that she was let out of jail. Im so tired of hearing how it is an accident to kill a child. You know what your responsibilities are when it comes to babysitting or even being a parent yourself. This woman needs to be punished and in many ways that people probably shouldnt even imagine because it does not matter how sorry you are that you killed a human being its that you did and that you let it happen. Why is our judicial system so messed up to let people who kill innocent children and other adults that they set them free after one or two years in prison or even after a few months to a year in the mental health institution? We sent drug dealers to proson for close to the rest of their life and in my opinion that is wrong!! They arent purposly killing people those people are making a choice, a choice to kill themselves innocent children do not have that choice!!!

Hi Proud American - You are right in line with the majority of our viewers who called/emailed the Voice about this story. Many seemed to think, "So what! So the woman honked her horn! Get over it"
The officer - who was honked at - was in an unmarked car and not in uniform. She said there was traffic ahead and that she simply stopped to let someone turn in front of her - and that she couldn't go anywhere anyway.
Who knows for sure what happened - but bottomline - the ticket got dismissed!

1. Blynthia Washington - the daycare owner who faces felony charges for the death of 4-year old Jacob Fox. Most of who who left comments about Washington, told me some pretty creative punishments for her, if she is found guilty.

***It's sad that another child had to lose his life to an adult's neglect. I hope she is fullly punished for her actions or lack thereof. Although no punishment can bring Jacob back, I pray his family can start healing.***

2. Teen Killer? - This is that Frisco teen who admits to randomly shooting another teen. Many of you blame the teen's parents for the "time bomb" in the making.

***I think if the signs were there, the paren't are indeed partially responsible. If he had a fascination with serial killers and guns, you'd think the parent's would have taken that as a cry for something and gotten their son help.***

3. To Honk or Not to Honk - Hmmm... not a question we usually stop to think about before we hit the horn. But maybe we should after a woman is given a $110 ticket - after honking at an off-duty officer. Big surprise?? Everyone who called in sided with the driver!

***This is the most ridiculous thing I heard on the news! Texas already has a bad reputation for many reasons...this just adds to it. What an embarASSment for Texas and the lady. Shame on you police!!!***

5. Drunk Hollywood Hunk - Most of you told me - "Leave Mel alone. He was drunk. We all say stupid things when we are drunk!" Really?

***really occifer, I'm not a think as you drunk I am. Give me a break!!!***

I'm glad Fox investigated and reported the Horn Honking incident.

This officer obviously got confused in her thinking. Maybe it is all that police training going to her head... "being the man" and all.

Well, she is a laughing stock now.

Glad her superiors were smart enough to drop the charge.

I was so angry that the Judge did not raise the bond for B. Washington. She tampered with evidence, commited perjury and lied about personal info to get her daycare license. And now she walks free. That judge is a complete idiot.

Honking in Texas--well if there were better more alert drivers out there, maybe I wouldn't have to use my horn. And if I get a ticket for honking to wake up some idiot so he doesn't hit me--well, then I will see you in traffic court!!!

I think the policewoman was just trying to throw her badge and weight around--like she was driving so carefully??? I thought she should have been given a citation too!

1. Blynthia Washington - I say, let the courts decide. I don't think she has the will or the money to go anywhere. I don't agree with what she did, and I don't feel that I would've denied any attempt to raise her bond. But it's just a time issue.

2. Teen Killer? - Absolutely the parents' fault. It is ultimately the parents' resposibility to raise their child. If he would've grown up to win the Nobel Peace Prize, I bet they would've taken responsibility for his actions.

3. To Honk or Not to Honk - I definitely side with the driver. That's what the horn is there for. A cop like that who feels it neccessary to write a ticket, just because he was bothered by the incident, shouldn't be a cop.

4. Another Big Rig Chase - Please tell me that California had more morons than we did go out to watch it and wave to the guy. Come on people, you're not going to go Isreal to get on the news are you? So why not try to get on the news for doing something good?

5. Drunk Hollywood Hunk - Well, when you're drinking German beer, somethings might get said that shouldn't. I'm sorry, but my life doesn't revolve around any celebrity, so I say move on.

6. Doocy Duet - Has football season started yet? No, so how about some Rangers coverage? Or maybe the Dragboat Nationals being held in Marine Creek Lake (by TCC NW) this weekend.

I tried to make a u turn or left turn once and the person coming at me head on kept honking at me and they had the right of way and I was waiting for the traffic to go by so I could turn. That made me so mad I wished a cop was there to write them a ticket for that. I honked back at the idiot with an angry look on my face. I was thinking I'm turning they have the right of way if that is not why I am turning out in front of them.

Last week, after dropping my mom off I was on my way home in rush our traffice. I was sitting at a light behind a guy who was doing something other than watching the light to see when it changed. It turned green with the arrow, but he jsut sat there fiddling with something in his front seat. I tapped my horn to tell him to pay attention & go. My horn got stuck! It would not go off! In the meantime the light changed, the guy did not go, so we are sitting there, him wondering why I am laying on my horn when he cannot go. I ended up having to drive to my brothers house across town, all thw while my horn blaring & everyone that I am behind surely wondering what is the heck I am doing. When I got to my brothers, he ended up having to cut the wires to get it to stop. Boy I am glad I was not behind that off duty policewoman, or I would have ended up in jail!

3. The Pantego Police officer that wrote the ticket, should have been gone a long time ago. (in many former Pantego officers opinions)
She unfortunately, has some rank.
Captain Blackney is the cause of many fantastic officers leaving that department.
But do they fire her for creating a hostile work environment? Noooooooooo!
Do they demote her for creating a hostile work environment? Nooooooooo!
She is an embarrassment to the law enforcement community!
