Somewhere there is a point where fuel prices will cut into budget and company profit.

The point made was fine as long as the lightning strike is the common ground to cloud type.
But there is a fairly rare cloud to ground strike, AND that lightning strike is the most powerful one. I learned about this while working at General Electric in Pittsfield, Mass. where they had a lightning research center.

Boy what a pleasure. Whenever there is a high centered over North Texas and very little wind a temperature inversion sets up over Dallas. Signals for digital 4 was 40 uV at 5 A.M. and 79 uV at 9 A.M. The same situation existed back when I was a teenager in Connecticut. A temperature inversion would set up over New York City bringing in the Philadelphia stations.
Also; radio signals of 144 Mhz and 432 Mhz bend so signals equidistant on the other side of NYC brought in stations from York and Lancaster PA.

Boy will that change our lifestyle! Truckers quiting, the ones that don't will charge more.
All goods will go sky high. Intense inflation! People will switch to bicycles, motor cycles, mini cars. Some people will quit jobs with long commutes because gas will cost more than they will earn above minimum wage locally.
Anybody picture more lifestyle changes?

I just filled up my pick'm up. I paid $100, and it would have been a little more, but the pump shut off at $100. Thank goodness I got the gas for 3.199 ( Kroger price 3.29 - 10c discount).
After 600 miles when I fill up again, wonder how much it will be.

It sounded like 7 shots from a 50 caliber rifle in 1 1/2 seconds, and hit the water tower near
California Trail. I've seen multiple strikes before, but not seven in a row.

Maria mentioned that it was raining out in Mount Pleasant a couple of times. Another weatherman mentions us as "north of Mineola". While not in Mt. Pleasant, I am way, way out here. About 18 miles west of Mt. Pleasant and 6 miles south of Mount Vernon on Lake Cypress Springs.
When there is a heat cap, TV reception improves. The bigger area and the stronger the cap, the better the reception.
88's to Maria <:-)

My alarm clock when in Plano (wed thru fri) doesn't always wake me up.
Could Chip fly low over the house on these days?
Just fly on the North side of Spring Creek from Hwy 75 to Custer.

I take minor offense to the viewer's comment to "tell-it-to-Tim" where he didn't like the mount for Evan's screen.
It was with great disappointment to let it go at my garage sale. There was a lot of work converting it from the tire cover on grandpa's 1934 Cadillac continental.
