Name: Jackson
Gender: Male, Neutered
Size: Medium
DOB: 2003
Breed: DSH Tuxedo
Color: Black & White
Jackson is a handsome black and white tuxedo with green eyes. He was a stray being fed in a trailer park in Seagoville where some volunteers were working. Jackson was so cute and curious and kept hanging around waiting to be fed. After a little sweet talk and some canned food, we were able to pet him and pick him up. He was very sweet and docile. We decided we had to take him and give him the life he deserved.
He is now very contented to be indoors. He loves being petted and held, and will head-butt your hand if you stop petting him before he thinks you should. He is also great at using his scratching post. He is more of a lover than a player, and he wants a home of his own to relax and feel safe in without having to worry about food and shelter.
He is FIV+ but shows no signs of illness. We think he will be fine around kids and dogs, but should not be around other cats unless they too are FIV+. Information about caring for an FIV+ cat can easily be found online, or by consulting your veterinarian.
