the house behnd me caught fire a couple hours ago.

the husband and wife escaped, the wife tried to go back in to save her dog and cats, she got burnt and got hysterical, because the house was engulfed, with the animals still inside.

She was taken to the hospital.

After she left the firemen were able to search the house and found her dog  alive!

They have lost everything,

They still don't know how the fire started.

I have no pictures as my phone doesn't take them and my camera is broken....

Mesquite Fire and police  did a great job.

I'm glad one dog was saved. I'm sorry for all the other lost animals.

I'm afraid if my apartment ever catches fire I won't be able to save my chinchillas. I've got six in three separate cages so it would take a while to pull them all to safety. I hope I never have to make a split second decision about which ones to save and which ones I'd let die.

In college I had a co-worker at a pet store who had worked for another store. It caught fire during the day. She told us how she had to grab as many animals that she could from the grooming and boarding area. All the other animals were left to die. She felt really bad.

:) I'm moving to a real house in two months. The chinchillas will have their own room.

Babysister I am glad your neighbor and her family were able to escape along with her beloved pets. I was worried that it was your house, I couldn't tell which house was on fire from the main street but I knew the smoke looked like it was right at your house. We drove by the house late yesterday, that poor family did lose everything huh? I hope she can rebuild. I am glad you and yours are OK too.

They were renting, and the owners have insurance.
Thank goodness, they both got out, and even found the beloved dog alive.
Red Cross was there yesterday.
