A woman is arrested for using a fake social security ID, trying to get employment at a hospital.

Turns out she was an illegal.

Now  the same ole groups, are saying she was set up, that the hospital is not the immigration service, and should  not have contacted the police.

I myself always had to ask for a social security card (paper not in plastic) and a driver's license, or valid state ID or green card, if they were eligible to work in the US.

So should we not ask for ID's for legal ID's ? Especially in a hospital,

This also brings up something I keep wondering about. Why do they not do TB testing anymore? I remember as a child we had them done in school. With all the immigration going on why isn't theis done as part of the school shot programs?

no more TB testing? wow, to get my license for my daycare (i use to own) i had to be TB tested, and any staff too. one would think a hospital worker would be too.
now as far as ID goes, I think all companies should have to ask for a valid ID and SS card. Then, if something does not look right, call the police. Heck, the person could be an axe murderer...or an illegal stealing someone's life!

good.

The national data bank that employers can use to verify the authenticity of required work documents is still completely voluntary, by the way.

No surprise here, this is how so many of these illegals are remaining in the USA, under false ID's. I hope they bust more and more of them and send them back to Mexico with an electronic chip in their shoulder to monitor their whereabouts, that will explode should they try to return to the USA illegally. So what if she has a 3 year old baby born in the USA, it was conceived by 2 illegals, so in my book, it is as illegal as they are, it just happened to of dropped at Parkland... free of charge, of course. Send them all back including the baby.

Now all the advocates are jumping on the band wagon saying it was nopt the hospitals responsibility to report it....what should they do wait till they get busted and pay a big fine or risk being jailed to just to protect her!!! GOOD for the hospital staff.....

Now if ICE would just go across the street to the Wendy's and the McDonalds in Carrollton, we would start making progress. You know what's really scary is that we don't know this person's professional history or criminal background. Patients in hospitals are often targets for theft and other crimes. How easy would it be for her to steal credit cards, lift social security numbers and create a great deal of havoc in many people's lives. Kudos to Trinity for catching them, now scan ALL your employees from office staff to maintenance. And I would like to see the school districts do this with their staffs as well.

The hospital had to do what it did to protect the patient's information under the HIPAA rule. If one person has access to information and is already using personal info illegally, then chances are, there could be another violation in the future. HIPAA violations are not taken lightly.

As a victim of identity theft for over 6 years, I can honestly say it's the worst thing in the world to be accused by the IRS of unreported wages because someone else used my social security number.

I praise the hospital for doing the right thing. Most companies hire illegals for temporary and contract jobs and are able to hire them for very low wages. Unfortunately, the reported wages become a problem for the social security number owner.

At that point, you have to prove to the IRS you did not earn those wages. It's something I don't wish this upon my worst enemy.

Maria Martinez knew what she did was wrong, just not "how wrong". Wrong is wrong, the law is the law. Send her back along with her family and relatives. Like most of you, I'm sick of these people and their perception of rules.....it seems that rules depend upon the situation.

Give the person who reported the criminal a raise/promotion/reward. Yipee for common sense.

Why do you think that TB testing is not done???
Some hospital employees have to be tested twice a year pending their risk exposure.
School age children are still tested usually if going to a new school.

I heard this immigration attorney trying to defend this woman on Good Day this morning and had to turn it off before I threw something at the TV

This whole illegal thing is now beyone comprehension.

IF THEY BREAK THE LAW THEY ARE CRIMINALS AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH

The woman said she had used the same SS for yrs, turns out it was linked to a deceased person.

As for the TB testing, I remember going to school and having the test done at school.
I do not remember any of my kids ever having to have one, when they were getting their regular shots.

Good I'm glad the hospital turned her in and she was arrested. I wish that all employers did that. She had no rights. Oh excuse me being in this country illegally she has no rights. That lawyer defending has to be a crook himself. The only people that say this is wrong are people that are hiding the fact that they have their hands down in the cookie jar getting the slice of the pie of I.D theft

Like that guy that voices his opinion at the City of Irving and Farmersbranch, Texas. I believe that he also has his hand in the cookie jar.

That would be the usual professional paid protester. Isn't it strange how he has time and money to go anywhere any time and create a scene? Doesn't it make you wonder who is paying his living expenses? I would sure like to know what role the Mexican consulate has to play in this since they actively help illegal here evade prosecution for many crimes.
