American Flag! YES

I love my country and the right we have to fly OUR flag...
The HOA telling the homeowner to take down his flag, because he didn't ask permission just infuriates me.
First of all I dislike HOA's..why peple live where they have others telling them how to live, amazes me..don't their cities have codes, and people that check to see if they are enforced? Why the American flag is an issue anywhere, is beside me as well.
I hope the gentleman holds to His rights.
Dog survives fire

the house behnd me caught fire a couple hours ago.
the husband and wife escaped, the wife tried to go back in to save her dog and cats, she got burnt and got hysterical, because the house was engulfed, with the animals still inside.
She was taken to the hospital.
After she left the firemen were able to search the house and found her dog alive!
They have lost everything,
They still don't know how the fire started.
I have no pictures as my phone doesn't take them and my camera is broken....
Mesquite Fire and police did a great job.
17 Girls and pact to get pregnant

A pregnancy boom at Gloucester High School in Massachusetts is shocking many, and it's not necessarily because teens didn't have access to birth control.
According to officials at the school, seventeen girls made a pact together to get pregnant at the same time and raise their kids together.
School principal Joseph Sullivan told Time Magazine, who first broke the story, that he started noticing something suspicious when the pregnancy rate had rose more than four times the school's average. He also observed more girls visiting the school clinic to get pregnancy tests.
This just so infuriates me!
Seems to get pregnant is a wonderful thing with young girls. The movie "Juno" says it is ok. All the pregnant, unmarried "so called Stars"
Where are these girls parents? None of these girls are over 16.
Why are girls alowed to go to regular school when pregnant? Why aren't thy sent to an alternative school? Apparently up there the girls get to go to school and have day care! Provided by the Taxpayers of course.
The fathers are said to be in their 20's are they going to be made to pay for all the expenses? Hospital bills. chil support?
What are they thinking?
My daughter and hospital visit

Tuesday, I received a call om my cell phone. A paramedic telling me they were taking my daughter to a certain hospital, in the middle of Mesquite.
My daughter is fine, she had an asthma attack, and passed out and called 911 since everyone was at work.
I rushed to this certain hospital, and couldn't find a parking place anywhere near the emergency room entrance. seems people that were there just visiting, are allowed to use those parking places. The is no designating for emergency parking only, and there are no security guards to keep any that aren't out. the outside of the emergency entrance was also strewn with cigarette butts, and people lounging, on the walled planter type places instead of benches provided. One car in a parking place looked like the family was having a picnic.
I rushed inside,told the young guy at the desk that my daughter had just been broke in and i needed to get to where she was. He asked my name, i spelled it he typed some more and finally said, "You will have to wait 15 or 20 minutes"
Well to say the least, after watching a family of 6 walk back to the back, young kids and all. I wasn't very nice. I told the guy my daughter could possibly die in that amount of time, being she was having a severe asthma attack.(yes she had been taking her medications)
I get back to her room, after a few choice words, they had taken her vital signs. that's it! no oxygen no nothing, the paramedic and 2 nurses? were conversing,
They didn't hear any wheezing, so she must not be having any asthma attack!
I told them, that she has seldom wheezed when having these episodes, that she usually coughed and coughed until she couldn't breathe. That not everyone did everything the same.
Anyway, her boyfriend(soon to be husband), was at the desk they told him he couldn't come back because i was there!
That's when she exploded! Got up and told the nurse? she was leaving! Didn't see a Dr anywhere.
This hospital was where i took my 6 yr old twin, that was turning blue(pneumonia) The head Dr. there said he didn't have a pediatrician on call and what did I expect him to do?3I took him to children's where they took him from my arms,didn't ask any questions, and treated him for a week.
Anyway, I told my daughter to get a card made saying if she needed to be transported to take her anywhere but to the hospital in the middle of Mesquite!

I was just listening about the church that lost their air conditioning units again. This type of theft is getting way out of hand.
I also heard on the news, of a company, that makes a security system for air condition units. Any tampering with the system, and it sends a signal to the security people/ and or police. Any cut lines, sends a signal. Why isn't this company all over the news if this works?
I just spoke to my brother, a long haul truck driver, that lives in MO. He said he had heard on the news that there was investigation going on, looking into insider trader, and speculators, dealing with OIL, and price gouging.
He said that the investigation had started in Feb., and was made public yesterday. Since the investigation was made public, that the oil prices have started dropping. Is this true?

I was checking out the news, local and National..
Well, all you sleaze people that buy the "Girls gone Wild", tapes. Not to worry, the founder is out of jail, still professing His innocence, at filming underage girls. Something about, "they said they were 18" They signed papers saying the were 18. they said on tape they were 18!
Did anyone say show me an ID?
I saw another crazy woman,"standing by her man"( NY GOV.) Have women just totally lost their minds? I guess seeing prostitutes, is ok with the wife?
Then we have the woman stuck to her toilet! Was sitting on it for 2 yrs!

A lovely day we are having, driving a school bus in this weather is always challenging.
I want to say how much I appreciate this blog, the people, and friends, I have met on here.
I try and stay out of the politics, and religion, since both seem to create arguments. So many diverse opinions on those.
As for the news,
First of all the scam artist. I can not believe, grown women actually, liked this guy and believed him, because He was good looking. I cannot believe the older woman, letting the man into her home, giving him coffee, and then taking him to her bank. What was she thinking?
The killings and fire in Emory. I am still trying to wrap my mind around that. Where do kids learn that violence is the answer to their problems?
Some kids on one of my rounds were talking about fights they had seen over the weekend. I asked them to find something else to converse about. One girl piped up and said " that is all that is cool to talk about." I suggested they start reading more books.
Oh, would someone from traffic, go ride up and down Lassiter road,(in a bus),a 4 times a day, for a week, and then see what they can do about the pot holes, I experience.
I haven't yet decided who I will vote for.
I began going to the Mesquite Rodeo, way back in 86, seems forever ago.
The first bad wreck, I saw, a young man was killed , when bucked off a bull.
He landed on his back the bull was swinging around , his back legs kicking up. When they came back down they landed in the middle of the young man. He was 21, with a wife and small child.
During the years I worked there I saw many "wrecks" One bronc rider thrown off against the wall, broke both his arms, next time I saw him, they had both his arms in casts out to his sides with braces that attached to his waist. We kidded Him about becoming a waiter.
Frank McIlvain Jr. was trying to turn a bull, away from a rider, that was laying in the dirt. When He smacked him on the behind to make Him turn, He kicked straight back instead, catching Frank, square in the mouth, knocking His front teeth into His sinus cavity,
Back they the Justin medical teams were there,and evolving , into what they are today,always gave the greatest of help.
They now, also have a fund for cowboys that get hurt.
Why do they do what they do? Only the best make the money, yet they keep coming up , and keep trying. A few sayings, I heard a lot. about the pain, or broken Bones, "Cowboy Up"or "It's a long way from your heart" These guys/girls have "Heart"
Anytime You get a chance go see the Rodeo.

WASHINGTON(AP) A large U.S. spy satellite has lost power and could hit the Earth in late February or early March, government officials said Saturday.
The satellite, which no longer can be controlled, could contain hazardous materials, and it is unknown where on the planet it might come down, they said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the information is classified as secret. It was not clear how long ago the satellite lost power, or under what circumstances.
"Appropriate government agencies are monitoring the situation," said Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the National Security Council, when asked about the situation after it was disclosed by other officials. "Numerous satellites over the years have come out of orbit and fallen harmlessly. We are looking at potential options to mitigate any possible damage this satellite may cause."
The spacecraft contains hydrazine _ which is rocket fuel _ according to a government official who was not authorized to speak publicly but spoke on condition of anonymity. Hydrazine, a colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor, is a toxic chemical and can cause harm to anyone who contacts it.

SINGAPORE(AP) Male macaque monkeys pay for sex by grooming females, according to a recent study that suggests the primates may treat sex as a commodity.
"In primate societies, grooming is the underlying fabric of it all," Dr. Michael Gumert, a primatologist at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, said in a telephone interview Saturday.
"It's a sign of friendship and family, and it's also something that can be exchanged for sexual services," Gumert said.
Gumert's findings, reported in New Scientist last week, resulted from a 20-month observation of about 50 long-tailed macaques in a reserve in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Gumert found after a male grooms a female, the likelihood that she will engage in sexual activity with the male was about three times more than if the grooming had not occurred.
And as with other commodities, the value of sex is affected by supply and demand factors: A male would spend more time grooming a female if there were fewer females in the vicinity.
"And when the female supply is higher, the male spends less time on grooming ... The mating actually becomes cheaper depending on the market," Gumert said.

Now Fox has a video of her apologizing for helping her daughter write a lie!
Are we now supposed to feel sorry for her?
I feel sorry for her daughter yes, to have a mother that, thinks it was all right to deceive.
She said, if she had known it was going to cause so much trouble, she would have written another"Story" Would that have been a lie as well?+
She has had to move she says because of threats, what did she expect, when she wrote such a lie? She thought people would say, all is ok.
I saw She was on the today show, was she paid for that? I hope not, if so i hope she gave the money to a veterans group.
As my mother used to always quote, "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive."
Why would illegal immigration be a surprise issue any where in the USA?
I just saw a news video that, showed Immigration arresting 1300 illegals working up in IOWA, and they say they know there are more still working there. The mayor of one of the towns says there needs to be a change.
What change, close the borders, and make them come over legally like my ancestors did.
They already over tax our health care systems, and our education systems, and welfare systems.
Why is this a surprise issue?

Some more young men in trouble, and the parents crying, because they didn't know, what was going on...Riding around in a car with lights and badges and pellet guns, and the guy says He thought the friend was an officer, that he didn't know... Give me a break!
Just like the boys in Ca. with the tiger. They had been in trouble previously, and now are clammed up, to cash in on the trouble they caused.

I will be so glad when the Iowa crap is over and off the news and TV...
All I want to hear is what each runner has to say, what they believe in and what they stand for, not the crap they tell them to say...
And why Iowa? Has anyone down here ever been to Iowa? All i ever saw up there were cornfields, and hogs running loose in those cornfields. Why would a small group of people up there, have the say on who might be elected?
I haven't decided on anyone yet, as so far all I have heard is the same ole crap.
