I was watching NBC5 this morning and saw a report on a young man who, after almost drowning when he was little, is now trying to make the Olympic Swim Team. This is an admirable thing. Then the report showed what he does in his spare time. He teaches kids to swim. This is admirable. Now the point of my thoughts. He is african-american and he teaches only african-american and latino kids. In his own words," I want to be a role model for minority kids". If this story was about a white kid teaching white kids only, how long do you think his Olympic hopes would last? He would be thrown off the team so fast he wouldn't have time to clean out his locker.

There were so many posts about the compound at El Dorado when the kids were removed.I wonder now that the courts have said CPS screwed it up again,no one seems to want to talk about it.This just goes to show how inept the CPS is.If it's not something like this, they are having kids beat to death in state approved foster homes.

I was just wondering if anyone besides me scrolls to the bottom of the blogs so I can see whose blog it is. So many are just hateful diatribe or the same basic message every time that I just don't waste my time on them.

Traffic
I did not know the driver,so the only thing I can say about this accident is based on 15 years behind the wheel of big trucks. Am I the only one who thinks the PD is not investigating very well? Am I the only one that noticed the "abandoned" pickup had damage on the right front? Am I the only one who noticed the headlights on the pickup were on? I know cops have a tendency to rule driver error on truck wrecks, but come on what I saw on 4 newscast was clear. I think the pickup driver was drunk, hit the rig with the right front, the driver lost control trying to keep from hitting the pickup, and went over the side. The pickup driver, because he was drunk, fled the scene on foot. Maybe you park a disabled vehicle on the shoulder, but no one would leave the lights on.
