“I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated,”
Obama said while refusing to retract his initial opposition to the
surge. “I’ve already said it’s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”
Oh, come on now! I just don't believe it!

Ok, I know this is a growing concern for most Americans and people all over the world. With Gas prices predicted to hit upwards of $4.00 per Gallon this summer, what are our employers willing to do to help ease the pain.

"You're going to see new highs for gas prices, probably for the
weekend," said Cordier, who predicts an average price of $4 a gallon in
the coming weeks.
Thankfully, my employer has made the decision to let each person in the office (starting immediately) have the option to telecommute once a week from home in order to soften the blow of the rising fuel prices. I have actually spoken with others, more and more employers are going this direction if it's workable for their business.
The only problem with people telecommuting is that we now have the possibility of others loosing jobs because of less traffic at fast food and restaurants because of the crunch.
What do you guys think of the ramifications of telecommuting pro or con?
