Gas Prices

I have a idea that was sent to me that could make gas prices go down. Maybe it would work so here it is.

ONLY IN AMERICA CAN SOMETHING LIKE THIS BE ACCOMPLISHED!!!!

THIS  IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' GAS FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET GAS BACK DOWN TO  $1.30 PER GALLON.

This was sent by a retired Coca Cola executive.  It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton.  If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this summer, take time to read this please.

Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy gas on a certain day'  campaign that was going around last April or May!

It's worth your consideration.  Join the resistance!!!!

I hear we are going to hit close to $ 4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might go higher!!  Want gasoline prices to come down?

We need to take some intelligent, united action.  The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to 'hurt' ourselves by refusing to buy gas.

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.
BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can Really work.  Please read on and join with us!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $2.00 is super cheap.  Me too!  It is currently $3.55 for regular unleaded in my town.

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace...not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas!  And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How?  Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas.

But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL.

If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices.   If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers.  It's really simple to do!  Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to 30 people.  If each of us send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ..  and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers.
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been cont acted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it.....  THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people.  That's all!

(If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people....  Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician.  But I am ...  so trust me on this one.

How long would all that take?  If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you!
Acting together we can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.  I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $2.00 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN.  THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

 Keep it going

This won't help. The other companies will keep the prices and even drive them up for demand on their reserves. Exxon-Mobil (btw they are one in the same not two seperate companies) will sell their gas to the other companies so they can keep up with demand. There will be no dropping of price from this.

The only way we are going to see this change is to regulate those companies. We regulate electricity, why not gas?

Also DDawg, as soon as they lowered their prices a few cents, a bunch of dummies would buy there and ruin the plan. I agree, it would never work.

Electricity is regulated? I didn't know that. Then they are not doing a very good job at it.I pay .145 at my home.About ten miles west I am fixing up a place to move to and I pay .106 over there.

Hey bilmorgbc, I have an idea to remove a home from the power grid of the electric companys. I will start with a small device that you can run any 40 watt bulb from, that will pull hundreds of lamps off the electric companys power grid. Meaning I could forseeable pull every house in the country out of the hands of the electric companys. You would need one device to run everything in your houe as you do now, and I only ask you to pay once and thats for the device. But I'm a couple weeks away from finishing.

dark if your serious that would be interesting for me to see what it is and how it works.

If we used generators, we could possibly power our entire house, but the problem there is we would have to pay for gas to keep it going, which would continue to rise the cost of gas.

I have even a better idea, when I was a child, there was a guy that rode a horse everywhere he went, so he didn't pay for gas. If we went back to horse and buggy, we wouldn't have to pay for gas, which would eventually bring gas prices down if enough people done that. It is not against the law to ride a horse everywhere you go, you would just need to have a diaper on it. The problem would be, it would take us an hour to get to a place that takes us 15 minutes now.

I think solar energy is where we should be looking. It could run our cars and our houses, and how can they regulate the sun!

exactly, we could heat and cool our houses with solar energy, we would have enough power to do what we needed, and I believe that in Europe, they already do that.

ExxonMobil just doesn't sell gas at Exxon or Mobil stations.
Watch the trucks that come and go from the depot in Irving, lots more carriers than just the ExxonMobil trucks coming and going.
Stop buying from Exxon or Mobil, they will just sell gas to another retailer.

If you really want to bring down gas/diesel prices push hard for research into alternative fuels. I am going to look into the practicality of building a hydrogen generator for my pick up. I'll keep you posted.

Cars also can run on Propane. Gas is not the only fuel we have available to us. Just the one they have groomed us to be dependant on

Hmm, yea. It would be stupid idea to actaully remove the environmental laws that would allow oil companies to explorer for oil/gas from our own land instead of transporting it from OPEC countries. That's all Oil companies basically do now, transport oil.

Nah, we don't need to build new refineries. The popuplation has grown, the demand has grown. It's the greed of Oil compaines that caused the price of gas to go up, this has nothing to do with it.

Also, it couldn't be in part because the refineries have to produce different formulas of gas for different regions cause of environmental laws. Even though the refineries are running at 100% capacity, and we have not built any new refineries in over 30 + yrs. Nah, it's the greed of Oil companies, plan and simple.

Boycotting a necessity never works. Did you know that the government makes more on a gallon of gas than the oil company? Sniff that for a while.

No thank you Infantile, we have learned how much brain damage sniffing gas can do just by listening to your worthless babble.

I love watching kids sports as well as all college and pro ball. I do a little wood work here in my home. I'm on disa bility from several medical conditions and my wife is also from a back ingury being bucked off a horse. That is the reason we solded the farm and moved to town because of not being able to do the chores. My son-in-law runs my sheep farm, raizing lambs for kids to show for projects in aggriculture and 4-H. These lamb projects do quiet well as we have had lambs place as high as 1'st and 2'nd in Houston and San Antonio livestock shows.I come from a long ancestry of ranching back in Sherman and Denison. My dad has his farm and is raizing show pigs, calvees, and lambs. I have 2 brothers who are aggriculture teachers in Bells and in Denison. All of our children of 17 showed will in school and now the grandchildren are following the same path. The Blount family is scattered all over the state of Texas, as far south as Corpus Christy. Thanks Dean Blount (Blount Farms & D&M Show Lambs)
