Sure looks that way! But we have to get there first! Still a threat for storms with hail, flooding and gusty winds exists.
ONE more round of storms are possible later this afternoon through the evening hours before this storm pulls away and we get the cooler, more stable air on the back side. That will also mean rather cool May air into Saturday morning. Enjoy it while you can!
Highs should be back into the 80s by saturday...and closer to 90 by Sunday!

Keep an eye to the sky this week. Severe Thunder Storms could develope rather quickly. Looks like the atmospheric conditions are ripe for them.
We don't want to be caught off guard, so stay tuned to Fox 4 weather and keep the weather alert radio on stand-by.
The states up north have really been pounded this Spring and you never know what to expect in Texas.
Be 4 Warned
I am so angry at the fox 6 news! They said that the storm was over at Birmingham at 2:45am. But it just started at Heflin AL. There was a massive tornado and trees were down everywhere!! It damaged many houses near Brockford Rd.! The sirens didnt go off after the storm! But I wonder hoe could they!!

Dan, I am sure you get blasted alot for taking up time doing the weather. I just wanted to say thanks for all you & your teams hard work. Just today Collin County was under a Tornado Warning. If it wasnt for you my family could have been in harms way. My wife works in Trenton and your broadcast allowed me to call her and tell her to leave work now and get the baby and get home.
When she came home about 10-15 minutes later, she said that she had never seen the wind blowing and rain coming down as hard as she had just seen. She called her job when she got home to check on her employees and they said the hail was so big and the rain was blowing horizontal.
So thanks for the hard work you and your team do.
Signed,
Long Time Fox 4 watcher
Jason
We are OK! Thanks for checking -

The wife and I rounded up the cats and secured them in their respective carriers and hunkered down ourselves just as the sirens began to scream. We could barely hear them due to the thunderous pounding of the quarter to golfball size hail.
The poor cats had no idea what was happening. All they knew is that one minute they were sleeping peacefully during their 5th nap of the day and the next the hail was pounding on the windows with such intensity it sounded like the windows would break at any minute.
All is safe now and we are very thankful for Fox4 News for keeping an eye on the storm and letting us know when to take cover. Had we waited for the sirens... well, this time we were OK, but what if...
10:30 pm Tuesday update...
All of North Texas remains under a "SLIGHT" risk for severe weather tomorrow morning through at least mid-afternoon. While the setup for this next round of storms does not look quite as impressive as a few episodes earlier this Spring (storms are arriving before peak heating and cloud cover should limit overall instability), the Pacific Storm in the upper atmosphere is very strong and will likely track right over North Texas early tomorrow afternoon. The primary severe weather threats at this time appear to be damaging wind gusts of up to 70 mph and large hail, perhaps up to golfball-size. A few isolated tornadoes will also be possible.
Storms are already underway in West Texas in advance of the Pacific trough and will impact western portions of North Texas first...perhaps as early as 7am. Storms will likely intensify as they move east ahead of the dryline, and should be in the DFW area by late morning, and then in far eastern sections of North Texas by early afternoon.
Stay tuned to FOX 4 for the very latest information.
One more big one tomorrow and hopefully things will quiet down a bit. Wednesdays storms will range from very strong to severe with high winds, hail, and even the possibility for a tornado...as an unusually strong Low pressure system cruises by. The most likely time frame is between 8am and 2pm (and yes, that's an ESTIMATE...as there are some people who think that everything we say is wrong).
Once those pass...skies should clear into the start of the weekend. In May that usually means HEAT, and we will likely see the warmest readings of the season Friday and saturday. Easily 90 and up most areas before a cold front knocks us back down for Mothers Day.
Thank you Evan Andrews for remembering us in East Dallas. You broke into Regis & Kelly a few minutes ago to alert those in the east of the thunderstorm's location. I was able to let my dogs out for a quick break before the rain started. I have been able to count on Fox 4 for every severe weather threat when all other stations forget that lives do exist past Rockwall county. We can also count on you to give the Lake Tawakoni water levels which is of high importance to Dallas county since that is where they obtain the bulk of their water supply.
Everyone on Fox 4 does an excellent job. I travel a lot & dread watching other cities newscast. Keep up the great work!
I highly suggest that anyone who hasn't yet done so sign up at Grassfire.org. What will all of these people do with there time once humans are shown to be less powerful than the sun or Atlantic winds? I'm sure they will find something else to control...

The latest "computer models" from global warming scientists show that global warming will be in retreat at least until 2015.
Combined with the fact that there has been no global warming since the peak year of 1998, even Climate Alarmist scientists are being forced to recognize that we could be looking at nearly a two-decade hiatus from global warming.
For the record, here's the history of global warming back to 1940 and projected through 2015:
1940-1974 (34 years) -- global cooling
1975-1998 (23 years) -- global warming
1999-2015 (17 years) -- temperatures level then cool

+ + Helping you expose the hoax
Al Gore's idea that man-made global warming has created a "planetary emergency" is a hoax. But the overwhelming barrage from the media and Hollywood means you and I still have an uphill fight to stop the Al Gore tax.

After a beautiful weekend, many people may start to believe that we're going to begin a dry spell here in North Texas. NOT JUST YET! The upper level dynamics continue to show that the spring season has not ended. Showers and thunderstorms will continue off and on for the next several days as an upper level low continues to 'dig' to our southwest. There will be a chance of heavy thunderstorms by Wednesday.
The end of the week looks nice, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the lower 90s!
Enjoy the cloudy and damp weather everyone. In a couple of months you're going to wish you had days like this. We need all the rain we can get before the dry months of July, August, and September arrive.
The month of June is usually dry, however many of us remember how wet it was last summer, don't we?
