It's refreshing when a politician comes out and tells the truth. Last night, McCain did just that when he said "It's easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have."

Mr. McCain you had better get over it, and get back in touch with OUR reality. We are very unhappy with the state of affairs, and if you get the office, and don't bring about some good changes in the state of affairs, we will get really pissed. You don't want that.

He was commenting on the contention by Obama that a small town mayor has no responsibilities. It was in the context that she has to deal with the day to day life in that town she lives in and sees all the problems around her, where he, if in Washington, doesn't see all that or have to deal with the people in his district everyday. Please include the context of the comment or it is taken to mean something it wasn't. He was absolutely right.

Just for you, Kev. The full quote "Listen, mayors have the toughest job, I think, in America. It's easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have."

Huh, still sounds to me like he is saying that he himself, being a Washington guy and not a community guy, has little dealings with the common people and their problems. Spin on, Kev.

P.S. Is being a mayor really the toughest job in America?

Thanks, that's better. He's right though. If he would have said that about Obama, instead of himself, he would have been called out for dirty politics. He didn't though. He said it about himself, even though it's true of all Senators.

I am a Cowboys fan. Love politics- hate politicians. More of a Libertarian in thought. Dislike radicals on both sides.
