For the party of change, there sure are a lot of old time names in the line up.

So far, these good people are speaking at the Dem Convention in prime time slots.

Hillary Clinton
Bill Clinton
Al Gore

(and I heard John Kerry too, but not sure if that one is real)

Now if the country ever wanted change, it was sure change AWAY from those people.

Oh well, I never could figure out what "change" means anyway,

Congress has increased the Federal Debt Level Ceiling to 10.6 Trillion.

With already close to 9.5 trillion in debt and close to 400 billion more being added to shift the foreclosure burden from the banks to the taxpayers, I was really worried that we would run out of money to borrow to spend.

In fact, with the bailout bill not taking effect until October, we could all stop paying our mortgages and perhaps get in line for some well needed cash.

I say well done and thank you congress and President Bush for your continued great work on behalf of the American people.

Nothing like it when Democrats and Republicans work hard together. Our two party system is alive and well.

So Saint Obama in France has praised France for it's extraordinary commitment in Afghanistan. Yesterday he likewise praised the Germans for all they have done and continue to do.

If I am not mistaken, France does have troops in Afghanistan - in the capital Kabul. They do not allow their troops to leave the capital and go anywhere near a combat zone. I think that Saint Obama, who is the chairman of the committee on NATO in Afghanistan,  should know that - if he actually ever held or went to a hearing.

While he calls for thousands of more American troops to be sent to the combat zones, he praises the countries that give lip service to NATO and keep far away from danger.

Yesterday in Germany, in his speech before the adoring faithful, he talked about how we must, after having increased our riches because of trade, tear down the walls that are up around us; sharing our wealth with those poor countries around the world. This is about his bill for the UN Millennium project that will cost the US taxpayer some 800 billion (that will go to the UN to be given to those poor countries).

This guy is most likely going to be the next President.

The devastation that is to come to us under an Obama Presidency, will make the Republicans look good - and that would be one very very hard thing to do. I hold republicans responsible for all of this. They had the chance to live up to the promises they made for years. Now we will be subjected to international law and rule by the UN.

One day there will be a new revolution in this country. It is the only way we will ever get back to having a constitution that is adhered to. I for one AM NOT A CITIZEN OF THE WORLD - I am a citizen of the United States of America - and I want my country back.

Sad days indeed to come.

China has a long mind set. They look at things in terms of hundred year plans. They will do whatever it takes to get to their goal that they set for themselves.

The USA looks in terms of the next election cycle. Since our elections pretty much go year round now, there is little that will ever get done to resolve the tough problems that our nation faces. No one up for re-election ever will say or do anything to offend any group they think can get them votes or money.

We won't even use our own resources. We prefer to see our leaders beg countries that are enemies to us to help us - by buying our IOU's, or letting us buy more of their oil.

Everyone you listen to that talks about drilling for oil, Harry Reid, Nancy Peloisi and Brack Obama along with quite a few republicans and countless democrats, say that won't work because it won't lower gas prices NOW and will take several years to be on-line.

Well, perhaps, but I would like to think that we as a nation, and our leaders, and want to be leaders, could just TRY to think maybe 5 or 10 years into the future, since it is for the very sake of the country. Get past thinking about only their party, their re-election, their money.

Instead, they pander. Instead they make speaches at the most openly racist organization in the country; LaRaza. Instead, we will do nothing. Everything we face always has to be looked at in terms of Democrat and Republican and which temporary position will gain more power and money to the party.

It's time to end it. VOTE LIBERTARIAN this year. No, that party is not all the answer - some positions are even a bit goofy, but until "we the people" show these cowardly rats in both parties that we won't take it anymore, we will get more of the same - and we will deserve it.

Oh and until we stop spending and actually pay off our debt, CHINA WILL CONTROL OUR FATE. They and other foreign governments, many very hostile to us, control our financial fate and future.

We have over 9 TRILLION in debt. Interest alone on that debt limits what we can spend on our highway system, our electric grid, energy alternative research.   Anytime China decides to sell all those US bonds, they will destroy our banking system and put us into a depression that would make the '29 crash look like a little market correction.

The news has been reporting today about Sen. Obama wanting to provide some 500 million to Faith Based Organizations to help with social services.

He seems to truly be reaching out to people of faith - showing what an informed and reasonable person he is.

Thing is, if you look at the addendum to his policy proposal, it is hard to think that even the most open minded person of faith would want it.

His proposal would make it illegal at any organization taking federal funds, to discriminate in any way, in who they hire or what services they offer.

Meaning that a Christian organization could not turn down a radical muslim or atheist applicant, if they were otherwise qualified for a job. If they offered counseling to pregnant women and teens, they would by law have to also offer counseling on abortion alternatives.

I guess there are some who just look at the headline and say what a great guy he is. Look under the hood, and as with so many of his proposals, they would spell disaster if ever implemented.

I was not sure whether to put this under politics or faith. I think if you plan on voting for Obama you had best have lots of faith. It may be all that you are left with after he is done.

Senator Obama, if he had his way, would outlaw the carrying of a concealed weapon by anyone, anywhere, in the United States (by Federal Law). I am only guessing, but I would think there would be exceptions for rich donors and movie stars and dare I say, politicians.

I have heard Obama and his people say, along with every other advocate of banning concealed carry rights, that there will be more murders, more random gunfire, and more traffic hassles that turn into shootouts.

He has in fact said that it is like a return to the "wild west".

He seems never to actually look at the statistics when spouting his crud. If he did, he would quickly see that there is extraordinarily lower crime by anyone with a license to carry a concealed weapon, in Texas, across the board.

That means less crime of any kind at all. I would think that that makes the license holder a very good citizen that takes the responsibility of handgun ownership as seriously as it should be taken.

If you want the real numbers for Texas, take a look at the Texas DPS website and you will find the reality.

Out of 61,539 people that were convicted of a crime in Texas in 2006 (the last year they have data for)  140 of those people were concealed carry permit holders. That is .2275% of crime.

A vote for Obama takes away the ability, and the natural right, of law abiding citizens to defend themselves, their families, and their homes.

Think hard before giving up your rights. In fact this right is not one given by the constitution.  The constitution simply affirms that it is a natural, or god-given, right to bear arms and to defend oneself - one that cannot be taken away.

I have thought hard about this, but I think we need to move past the 2 party system. I would encourage everyone to at least look at Bob Barr. While the Libertarian party has some views that are out there, the basic push is SMALLER GOVT, WAY LESS SPENDING AND TAXING, and KEEPIN THE GOVT OUT OF Both  STATES RIGHTS AND OUT OF YOUR BUSINESS.

Too bad they left so many like me out in the cold.

Until republicans get back to the things they used to stand for, and actually mean it, they will never have my vote.

Maybe 4 years of Obama and his racist  wife and corrupt socialist racist elitist buds, will convince the republican party to stop playing like they are royalty and decide to work for the country and the US citizen.

So 84% of voters in N.C. and a similar number  in Indiana, said that race was not important in the primaries today.

Of course, 92% and 91%  of  black voters voted for the black guy.

Hillary should save her money.

There is no way, with the threat of riots already, that all of those who say that race isn't important would let Clinton win, regardless of whether it would be the best choice or not.

After all, race does not matter as long as the black guy gets the nomination. If he doesn't, then the only thing that will matter is race.

Make no mistake about Senator Obama. If he were to become President he will without question move to make illegal handguns and their possession, not to mention most types of rifles and even some shotguns.

A white paper on his website states: “As a former constitutional law professor, Barack Obama … greatly respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms” as well as “the passion that hunters and anglers have for their sport.” It says: “He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport and use guns for the purposes of hunting and target shooting.”

Please note that in the above listing, he leaves out the right to protect and defends ones life and property. He is fully supportive of the DC gun ban and has backed and pushed Chicago into having one of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation.

Chicago has problems. Dozens of high school age and younger kids have been murdered this year already. Senator Obama seems to feel that the gangsters who murder people with guns they have obtained illegally is somehow the same as the regular Joe or Jane carrying a handgun for defense.

I do not want to see the basic fundamental right that is acknowledged in our constitution to be taken away.

I will become a criminal myself if laws were passed making handgun possession illegal.

This guy is dangerous. I cannot for the life of me figure out how people can be so blind to this racist elitist guy. His election would cause more racial strife in this country than has been seen since the 60's. Go back and look at his history and participation in the million man March that was organized by that great humanitarian Lewis Farrakhan.

Obama and his idea of change is down right scary.

I finally get it now. With me being from a small town in Indiana (the one where HIllary had her shot and beer) I did not realize that not only was I bitter, but that small town white America also caused gangster rap and the plague of black men killing other black men.
Alicia Keys thinks there was no such thing as gangsta rap and it's all part of a conspiracy.Keys told Blender magazine, "'Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. 'Gangsta rap' didn't exist."Keys also said that the feud between Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing."
Keys said that she wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead."

I thank Mr. Obama and Ms. Keys for illuminating for me that past that I must have buried. She might make a good running mate for Obama if he can get past the Ak-47 thing.

So Obama thinks that small town (white) America is afraid of people that don't look like them, and are afraid of the "way things are changing" and that they are anti illegal immigration because they are afraid of them.

This guy is a racist moron. Him, his wife, his preachers and his staff all need to go back to where they came from - perhaps under a rock - and stop insulting regular Joe and Jane Americans.

A vote for Obama is a vote for a racist.

Since I can't seem to find a candidate to vote for, I was giving thought to the process that the Democrats have chosen for their nomination.

The democrats say they are the party of inclusion and that every vote must be counted - except for Florida and Michigan. Of course since the democrats, and it seems much of US society, cannot allow there to be a loser at anything (from playground games to politics) they divide the delegates from each state by proportional representation - expect maybe not.

If you win 59% of the state votes, you do not get 59% of the delegates. That is precisely why the party finds itself in such a state. There will most likely not be a delegate winner before the convention. They will both be close, but neither will have enough to secure the nomination. Clinton may give up, but this will be her only shot so she will want to stick it out to the end.

So then we get to the super delegates. If you have been paying attention, super delegates include Senators, Congressman, college students, various democratic "strategist" that you will often see on CNN and the like.

I have seen interviews with some of the 21 year old super delegates, explaining why they should not follow the will of the people in their state. They were chosen for their vast knowledge and expertise at picking the correct nominee because the people that voted, were to stupid to do that themselves by voting.

So we get to the convention. Obama is ahead by 30 delegates. The 800+ super delegates cast their vote (after totaling up how much cash each pres. campaign has given to them ) and Hilary Clinton wins the nomination. Well that is one scenario, of course that would result in racial rioting across the US.

So in the end, the black super delegates will vote for Obama, Clinton may get a few votes, but most white super delegates will vote Obama for fear of being labeled racist.

Hmmmm ought to be fun whatever happens. McCain already thinks of me as a racist since I say not one illegal should be given ANY ability to stay in this country ever.

Oh well - I guess the democrats will call me racist too. I just can't seem to win - oh wait, thats right, it is wrong to have winners and losers

Take a look and sign the petition if you are so inclined.

This sets out criteria including NO AMNESTY FOR ANY ILLEGAL among other things that conservatives are demanding in a presidential candidate.  Also includes things like smaller govt., less spending, etc etc., you know, all those things we were promised for so many years.

Doubt if it will help much with McCain and his thinking, but if millions sign the petition who knows?

Ok so I think the best shot at getting a conservative President, one who will uphold the constitution and the laws of this nation, is for McCain to pick a conservative to run as VP.

McCain kicks it of old age, or has an blowout in one of his famous angry outbursts; conservative VP moves up to Pres and the nation can move on.

Of course, that assumes that there is an honest conservative out there. One who would actually do all the things that we were promised by republicans so many years ago - before they all started to act and spend and give amnesty just like the democrats do.

Not wishing bad on anyone, but the guy is older than dirt and does have that famous temper for anyone who dares question him.

Oh yeah, hell with that, the guy called me a racist - screw him - bad things happen.

So it seems that the house and senate passed the 1/2 trillion dollar spending bill.

We can thank Texas Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson for the language gutting the mandated border fence that our esteemed lawmakers passed into law because the people demanded it.

I really want to see just how much money Hutchinson gets from the "illegal alien rights" groups for her next campaign. Word is she will not run again for Senate, but Tx governor may be on her agenda.

She should be run out of any office for good.

This budget bill that passed pays off everyone on both sides. With over 29 billion in some 12,000 Earmarks, every House Member and Senator was bribed to sign off on this monstrosity of a bill.

Democrats promised us no more earmarks at all once they took office. Republicans did the same BLEEP for 6 years when they had power.

We are over 9 TRILLION dollars in debt right now. The country is on a path to destruction. We know for a fact that the money will never be there for all of the TRILLIONS of dollars promised and already spent into the next 4-5 decades. And even knowing that, they spend and spend and spend.

The only chance this country has, is revolution; and the odds of that being successful are pretty close to zero.

I am ashamed of my government and afraid for my country.  We all should be.
