Far as I know, there's only the Balcones Fault in Texas, and it's a dead one. I don't worry about an earthquake in Texas. Just tornadoes.

IT'S THE GLOBAL WARMING AGAIN!

Yeah, I had no idea that earthquakes happen in mid-America. I was surprised by that one in Missouri.

The biggest earthquake in US history was in Missouri. I believe in the 1800s?

I blame my SUV - totally caused the earth to warm and get all squirmy because it is HOT. heh.

And no, I'm not worried. How could I change my life to be ready for an earthquake? No need in worrying.

Sorry about your earthquakes though.

After living in Alaska and experiencing many earthquakes, I'd have to say no, I am not worried about one in Texas.

We didn't have to deal with the bigs ones (only tons of small ones LOL). But thankfully we didn't live there when the great 9.2 earthquake hit on Good Friday March 29, 1964.
One website with info on it states: "The quake was accompanied by large vertical displacements over an approximate 200,000 square mile area along the source fault, much of this beneath Prince William Sound."
Tsunami waves were horrendous.

Causing damage over about 30 blocks of downtown Anchorage. To this day, the effects are still visible in Anchorage, where some of the streets downtown are blocked off because of where the earth simply drops off.

Valdez, Seward, Whittier and many other places had great amounts of damage.

Texas had a dormant fault line running under it.

Ted, yes it was horrible. While living there I met a great many people who remember the quake as if it were yesterday. There are many pictures online
of the various areas and the damage that was done.
