The 1 Paragraph Candidate Challenge

Hey everyone.
I was gone for a week so my apologies on not participating in the debates here. I have to admit that I thought about you guys. heh.
Anyway...


I have a challenge I want to throw down.
Lets see if you are up to it.
The rules are simple.

Write a 1 paragraph explanation as to who you are voting for in November. You have to pick a candidate but it can be one of the known independents that are running as well. Describe why you are voting for this person and what you think about their policies.

I will include the best of these paragraphs in a new series of videos I am going to be doing for Youtube.


Now here's the catch...

There are 2 rules:

1. You can only talk about your candidate. Do not mention anyone else.
2. You can not be overtly offensive or hateful.


Lets try it out.

Great blog Cy, I'll give it a try.

I am voting for Mr. McCain because he is the most experienced candidate at not just politics but he has proven that he can with the other party just as well as his own. In these difficult times, I strongly feel we need a leader with as much experience as possible and not someone with just a smile. If I were about to board a plane and fly off into a storm, I would hope our pilot was as well seasoned as possible and not a pilot who had just earned his wings. These are stormy times; bring on the man with a proven track record.

I vote for McCain, becuz we need a leader who will govern out of strength, not weakness and continue promoting the strength of the people not weaken them , one that looks toward our security by making us energy independant as soon as possible, we don't have 20 -30 years to acomplish this, the energy independance of this nation is important to the security and economy of the rest of the free world !

Hmm. How about this:

I am voting for McCain because of his experience, his love of country, and because all of my other candidates are gone. I am voting for McCain because the media told me during the primaries to vote for McCain and weeded out all the true conservatives. I am voting for McCain because despite his "maverick" style he seems to be coming around to endorsing conservative principals. I am voting for McCain because the whole world will think "hey, if I screw with the US, McCain will freak out and push THE button."

I'll be voting McCain because he's only one that comes CLOSE to my views & beliefs. I am hopeful that his maverickness (is that a word?!) won't destroy this country when he "leans across the aisle".

And, I'm anti-Socialist.

(Hmm I just thought of an alter "Anita Socialist" ~ someone's probably gonna use that now!!)

More seriously:
I'm voting for McC to vote against BLANK (following the rules).
I'm voting for McC since Romney dropped out.
I'm voting for McC because he's a "wrinkly ole white dude" and Paris sounded smarter than either BLANK or BLANK. :)

My name is Cyrus Martin. I live in Euless, Texas along with a bunch of other people. I enjoy a healthy debate now and then as well as a heated discussion. I don't enjoy to argue though and I find it absolutely beyond annoying to see people spread ignorance, hypocrisy, lies and distortions in the guise of truth or Christianity. I am a proud Christian (which is sort of an Oxymoron) and I love God very much. I think most Christians do... unfortunately there are many that will use his name to promote a twisted and evil agenda and guilt any who would seek God's face into following them without question. For too long we have been cowed by this tyrannical Christian terrorism. One of the purposes of my life to help bring this into the light. If we are Christians then we should think about what that means and the responsibility that comes along with that comfortable label. Thanks! I hope we will have some great talks. -Cy
