Today's police chase was one of the most captivating ones I have ever witnessed on TV. It could partly be because it occurred not in Los Angeles, but in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Finishing up a workday in Arlington, we could hear the sirens and helicopters overhead.

2 car-jackings and one 18-wheeler commandeering later, the deranged man (speaking nothing but political rhetoric and alleged racial injustices) was finally stopped and his hostage freed. The dramatic conclusion in unincorporated western Fort Worth were caught on-film by FOX 4 and shown to the tens of thousands watching from their sofas.

What was the man thinking? Could he realistically change the world by committing multiple felonies and taking a hostage? No. While terroristic actions like his may be the first option for radicals in third-world countries ... this is America. There are ways to bring about change and there are ways to not. He chose the latter. He chose violence. Civil rights founders would roll in their graves.

Huh. All Fox 4 was talking about was how the man was trying to commit suicide by cop, not trying to change the world by terrorist actions.

The guy was a complete nutcase. If he had been truly suicidal, he would not have been ducking away his candy-ass in the back cab area, and instead would have been in plain view (or shot) by sitting up in the passenger seat.

you got that right....he just kept ducking behind her.he should have put his candy ass in the Passenger seat and gone out like he should have instead of hiding..
Since he was the one that wanted to out by cop...it wasnt her idea.

Darkvein, I never heard about him desiring "suicide by cop". They did mention that he was suicidal, however. Channel 8 (yes, I cheat on FOX 4 every now-and-then) had a reporter that got to speak to him, and he was ranting and raving about how African-American men don't get a fair chance, getting cheated by "the system" and can't get a job. He wanted that to change (not sure if it was on a micro or macro level). But unfortunately, all he did was serve to degrade his own race and certainly not get himself a job.
