I have Peter Pan Peanut Butter smooth and reduced fat crunchy with the nubers 2111 on them, what do I do now? If it is being recalled do I take it back to the store where I bought it for a refund or exchange? I don't want anyone in my family to get sick.

The number is supposed to be stamped on the lid. Throw the peanut butter away and take the lid back to the store for a refund.

I am not so sure about taking the lid back to the store.. I read here on Fox 4 that you have to send the lid to the manufacturer. I am trying to find out if the local store will actually take care of it for us. But just in case.. How to Obtain Refund

To get a refund, consumers should send lids and their names and
addresses to ConAgra Foods, P.O. Box 57078, Irvine, CA 92619-7078.
For more information, call 866-344-6970.

I was reading the Denton Record Chronicle and the article there had this printed along with more. I just did a copy and paste of the only part that said anything to do with a store taking care of the item.

******Albertson’s also removed all peanut butter with the related product code number, spokeswoman Jennifer Vroman said.

“There hasn’t been a formal recall,” Ms. Vroman said. “We have pulled it as a precaution and for the safety for our customers. If any customer has that product, they can return it to the store for a full refund.” *************

I have not seen yet where any other store is actually taking care of the return/replacement or whatever you are wanting to do.

I'm just relating what I saw on Channel 5 News.

Showdog.. what you said was also said on Channel 4, but it also went on to say other things. That is what I am trying to clarify for myself if not anyone else. I have all kinds of questions that have not yet been addressed regarding this Peanut Butter recall and Salmonella. I did not mean any disrespect to you or anyone else who might read my comments.

Yeah, Gracie, I only watch Fox 4 News with Tim, Megan, and Evan for entertainment. When I want the real news I switch to 5.

I just took the top off my Peter Pan Peanut Butter back to Wal-Mart and they gave me cash.

No problem.

Well I just discovered that we have two bottles of Peter Pan Peanut Butter with the 2111 numbers on it.But the Honey Roasted one was half empty and I was the only one that used that particular one and never got sick from it once.
