Cart for my disabled dachshund

Does anyone know of a local company where I could buy a 2 wheeled cart for my disabled dachsund? All I can find are on the internet. and I'd like one sooner than having to order one and wait.  He had back surgery and doesn't have the use of his back legs yet if ever, but I do have "HOPE"  and "FAITH" that he'll have a full recovery.

I've seen them being used by others, but have never had an occassion to obtain one.

Have you checked with the Pet supply houses, or your local vet? They may have an idea where to obtain one, without waiting.

Good luck. Hope your baby pulls through.

Well the PT section of DVSC where he had his surgery can get one for us at a discounted price if we want.This maybe the way we have to go, as those things are very expensive and any discount will help. Thanks, he is home now after spending almost 2 weeks at DVSC and restricted to a carrier for most of the day.He can only be let out for short periods and has to be on 2 leashes, 1 for the front and 1 for the back. I would recommend them to anyone who's pet needs emergency surgery.

I saw your pet pictures featured on the website and had to check out your blog and rest of photos. Thank you, I enjoyed viewing them. I see by your photos that you did find a cart for your dachshund. A good site for special needs pets is www.handicappedpets.com. I've ordered from them and was always pleased. I have minature red dachshunds myself. Redman now 18yrs and Barney 6yrs. I lost 2 in 2006 to diabetes and cushings disease - Joey 12yrs and Princess 20yrs (yes, 20 years old! I believe my Redman will be around many more years.

I recongnized some of the locations you had visited as I had been to Lukenbach and Henry's Hideout. The pictures of Mexico are beautiful. Thank you again for sharing your pictures. They made me smile and I really needed that today! God Bless

I have lived in the mid cities for forever. I have 3 pets and 2 grown children. Love to go motorcycle riding and do so as often as possible. Watch channel 4 everyday and Love it.
