Good grief. Look how much this PS3 is going for on ebay. There's 2 minutes left and it's over 6,000 dollars now.
I cannot believe people go through this every year with the hot items they put out in November. I'll get this in quite a few years when the price goes down considerably.
One minute left and it's now 76oo. US $9,101.00 Just ended with US $9,101.00 Holey Moley. Look how much it jumped in 2 MINUTES!!!
People are nuts. Absolutely nuts! I love games, but not crazy enough to pay that much for it.
Wow! Just blown away...
Dumbfounded At Stupidity (RANT)

News
Listening to the news earlier about the three year old found walking around the streets, I was just dumbfounded at the stupidity of some people. It was said the mother left the child with a cousin who was sleeping. The cousin didn't know he/she was to look after the child.
So ding-dong mom just leaves the child to go shopping @@
This is fast becoming a pet peeve of mine. Here's why...
Today for instance, a child next door came over to play with my son. That's all fine and dandy. This child then goes next door to play with the other kids. My son went as well. I know the parents of all kids involved.
I KNOW my son is over there playing at their house. I had one parent come over and ask for his child. He was told that they went next door to play with the other kids. This child was told by both my husband and I to ask the grandmother so they KNOW WHERE SHE IS. The child obviously did not. So the parent was upset because his child was over there and not here like she was supposed to be.
Another situation happened last weekend. There is a little boy my son knows. He isn't in the same class but they are friends. My son always asks if he can come over and play. I met the dad ONE TIME, we talked for less than 5 minutes. He dropped his son off for an hour of play. He didn't even come into my home. I don't know this man from Adam. And he doesn't know me from Eve.
It just irks me how people can hand over kids to virutal strangers and not even give a second thought.
Obviously, we aren't child molestors or predators. We aren't murderers or bad people. I don't mind having kids over to play. It just concerns me a great deal that parent's just aren't vigilant enough.
We are strict with our son. He is NOT to go outside alone. And he is to ask if he can play at someone else's house. When he does go play elsewhere, I make sure to talk to the parent first. I know my neighbor, known them for as long as we have been here. But I make sure to walk him over there and back each time.
It disturbs me to see kids my son's age roaming the streets. It irks me that paren't aren't more watchful or observant.
I am just dumbfounded at the stupidity of some people.
If you can't keep track of your kids, keep em at home! FGS, they are precious, treat them like they are!

I meant to post this yesterday, but time got away from me.
So yesterday, I was talking to Mumsie on the phone. I love our weekly chats :-) But anyhoo, I'm sitting on the couch and it was very quiet in the house.
All of a sudden, I hear a burst of thunderous screaming! I get up and look out the window. I tell Mumsie to hold on a sec, I open my backdoor and ask her if she could hear the screaming? I hold the phone out towards the noise. She said she could hear it and asked what was going on.
The past week at my son's school has been "Stomp Out Drugs" week. All the kids and teachers were told to wear red. So there was a sea of red as the entire school stood outside. And then they released red balloons. It was quite a remarkable sight to see...AND HEAR!!!

Enter your first and last names to find out how many with the same name live in the US.
There are 299,968,595 people in the United States of America. If everyone in the U.S. lined up single file, the line would stretch around the Earth almost 7 times. That's a lot of people.
The U.S. Census Bureau statistics tell us that there are at least 88,799 different last names and 5,163 different first names in common use in the United States. Some names are more common than others.
There are 49,535 people named John Smith in the United States. There are 1,048 people named James Bond, 113 people named Harry Potter , 503 people named George Bush, and 31 people named Emily Dickinson. However, Johnny Cash (39 people) songs aside there are, statistically speaking, no boys named Sue.
What about you? How many people share your name? Enter it and find out how many of you there are.

Lunch w/ My Son :-)

Just got back from my son's school.
I brought him lunch and we ate together in the cafeteria. I think it's neat that the school let's parents do that. I signed in at the office and walked to his class.
He walks out, first in line and sees me. His eyes just lit up and his face was priceless. We walked to the cafeteria and we sat down. He asked me what I was doing there and I said, "I came to have lunch with you! Are you surprised to see me?" He said, "Yea!!!" Meanwhile, he tells his classmates and most everyone in the cafeteria, "LOOK, MY MOMMY'S HERE!" It was cute lol.
He asked several of his friends to come eat with him but they all said no. I think it was because I was there lol. I asked him if he sits alone or with friends and he said he sits with friends. But I guess they musta been afraid of me ;-)
What a treat to have lunch with a handsome little man! I plan to do that again soon.
Customer Service

News
If you had a chance to read what happened at the store this morning, you will find I had a satisfactory resolution to my complaint.
We have ALL had a bad customer service experience at least one time in our lives. I'm talking about stores, not the electric company or cable comapny.
The first job I got when I arrived in Texas almost 6 years ago was at Long John Silver's. I hated that job. I could never get that nasty grease smell out of my uniform. I never ate there unless it was a salad. I still get sick when I drive by there.
When I got promoted to the drive-thru, it was fun. I loved it. Until...
a man in a diesle truck came to the order window. First, he didn't have the courtesy to turn off the vehicle. It is very hard to hear when a loud truck is blaring in your ear. He placed his order and came up to the next window to pay. I gave him his order. I gave him his drink last. He left.
Not more than 2 minutes pass and this man came storming into the store yelling for me. I approached him and he slammed his drink on the counter and yelled, 'I ORDERED A DR. PEPPER!!! YOU GAVE ME A COKE. I WANT MY ****ING DRINK AND YOU BETTER GET IT RIGHT!!!." Meanwhile calling me very name under the sun.
I remember crying. I have never been spoken to like that. I made a mistake but he was having a very bad day lol. I got him the correct drink and the manager told him to never come back there.
That was my first experience of customer service. My first impression of Texas. Big guy driving a big truck being a bully. Thankfully, i found that not all Texans are like that lol.
I walked across the street to get a sandwich and saw they were hiring for a buck and a half more. Obciously, I quit and went to work there in the deli.
I had to deal with alot of language barriers. The store is geared to Hispanics. I know enough Spanish to survive, but sometimes people would get mad because I couldn't understand what they were saying. I had one customer tell her friend in Spanish how stupid I was. I told her in Spanish I knew what she was saying and that to never ASSume people don't speak her language. She looked embarassed. As she should have been.
Customer service goes both ways. I try to treat eveyone with respect. But if I get disrespected, I am not afraid to let them know. It takes alot to get me mad. It takes alot to irritate me. The policy is the customer is always right...but not ALWAYS. You just have to try to make it right with them and get on with it. Why let one rude jerk ruin your day.
Lamb asked where did customer service go? In a day where you have self checkouts and short fused people, I don't know where it went. I miss people! I miss talking to a cashier, handing money over in the palm of a hand. Not a slot in a machine that says, please place the item in the bag.
I Love Being Right!

I wnet to the bank and the store this morning. Bought 4 cans of Spaghetti'os. The tag on the shelf said 4 for 5. I bought the four PLUS one more. One can is 1.69. I also bought a loaf of bread for 1.69. (I know, big list but it was needed and requested lol).
So I pay for it and the total comes to 10 dollars and and some change. I look at it and think, 'That isn't right.' I go to the customer service desk, wait patiently in line and when it's my turn, I explain the situation. I said I don't understand how the total is this much when it's not. I even calculated this on my cell phone calculator to show him. He runs to the aisle and looks and comes back and say that they ae 1.69 each. He said I could go back and look but I LOOKED and that's what it said.
I walk back and look again, I walk back to the counter and then we walk back to the aisle. He said he looked at the wrong tag. I pointed to the tag on the bottom shelf, he looked at the tag and said lol..."Oh I didn't even look at that tag. I looked at this one. Those douchbags put the wrong tag on the shelf." Um ok lol. So I ended up getting one can free and refunded the other money. Even though it was three bucks and some odd in change...I got it back lol.
Clearly, the store advertised wrong...their mistake. Glad they made it right though. He was very friendly, whereas he could have gotten mad. I like that store, and will continue to shop there. Just check your reciepts carefully :-)
So yesterday, we found out a house a few houses down are selling drugs. Great. Today, there a cops everywhere. They got the other side of my street blocked off. Caution tape everywhere. Heard through another neighbor someone got stabbed and that's why all the action. I also heard someone is holed up in a house, but I doubt that as the house would be surrounded. Not the other block of my street. A neighbor across the dtreet was arrested for domestic violence. Second time. But both husband and wife were taken in. I feel for their kids. They are great kids and they play with my son all the time. They are here now lol. Heard they are moving soon. It's a HUD house and there have been four families in three years move in. My street is a quiet one. People mind their business. But I want to know what is happening there NOW. Why the road is blocked off...and what happened. It's terrible. But I am certainly NOT going to say that kind of thing happens in my "hood...because crap happens everywhere. If someone finds some news, let me know. i can't find a thing right now. Must not be that big a news story...yet.

My son woke up this morning and he taps me on the arm. He says, "Mommy, it's my birthday today!!!" I said, "No way!!! It is?! He said, "YEA I'm 6!" He's been so happy since he woke up. We went to breakfast where he had pancakes with a whipped cream happy face on it. He ate alot! Then we went to the toy store, but they weren't open yet. Why some stores open at 10...grrr lol. But i had to take something back at another store. So then we went to Toy's R Us. I signed him up for the birthday club and he got a crown and a balloon. He got a 3 dollar off any toy card in the mail so he picked out a toy. They made an announce, ment over the loud speaker. He lit up hearing his name lol. Saturday is when we will have a party. But for today, he's had a good time so far. I can't believe he's 6!!! Happy Birthday Baby!!!
I was so blessed that God gave you to me 6 years ago today!
