I am loving the "snow"! I didn't grow up in an area where it snowed. We had to go to Tahoe to see snow.

I took some pictures of the snow. I took a couple of really up close pictures on the hood of my car. It looks like little crystal balls!

I opened my mouth and let the snow fall in my mouth. I feel like a little kid! I feel like I have been deprived my whole life of this fun white stuff!

I'm going to pick up my son from school, and see if we can scrape enough to build a snowman.

Even though driving in it may suck, try to enjoy it. Let the little kid at heart come out and play!

I think it's wonderful weather. The great thing about it is it's temporary. We won't have to shovel drive-ways for months. I just LOVE IT!!!

THE END IS NEAR!!! PANIC ENSUED IN THE STREETS AS NORTH TEXANS READIED FOR THE ARTCIC BLAST. MANY RUSHED TO STORES TO BUY INSULATION FOR OUTDOOR PIPES. SOME STOCKPILED FOOD LIKE CHIPMUNKS. MANY WILL ENTER HIBERNATION IN THEIR DWELLINGS, COVERED BY BLANKETS AND FUZZY SLIPPERS.

MANY WILL BRAVE THE WET ICY ROADS, WHERE IT WILL LOOK LIKE A TEXAS ICE-CAPADES SHOW. IT WILL BE A SPECTACULAR SIGHT TO SEE.

WILL TEXANS SEE THE SUNSHINE AGAIN? WHEN THEY EMERGE FROM THEIR DENS, AND THE SUN IS SHINING, MANY A RETINA WILL BE BURNED FROM THE BRIGHT BRIGHT SUN.

I HEAR MARIA SAYING WE WILL INDEED GET SNOW. AN VERY UNUSUAL SITE TO BEHOLD. ALL THAT WHITE COLD STUFF. REMEMBER FOLKS, DON'T EAT YELLOW SNOW. MANY CHILDREN WILL AMASS IN FRONT YARDS BUILDING LITTLE PEOPLE CALLED SNOWMEN. MANY WILL GO SLEDDING FROM THE BACKS OF PICK-UP TRUCKS. ONLY A TEXAN CAN INVENT SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

THE END IS NEAR FOLKS, BUNDLE UP, BE WARM AND BE SAFE!

***end bulletin transmission.

What a fun time I had this morning! I walked my son to school...it was raining. But not hard. A nice soft rain. Off we went. We ran and chased eachother. We splashed in the puddles. People were looking at us like we had four heads. It was FUN! How many people, especially adults splash in the puddles? How many act like kids again because you can? Rain can either be a miserable thing, or a fun thing. It's what you make of it :-) Go play in a puddle and laugh like a kid again! Go for it...you know you wanna!!!

I found pictures I took of the tornado damge in Ft. Worth. I found the pictures buried in my closet, but I found them and scanned them last night. Thought they might be of interest :-)

I took a picture of the thermometer in my backyard at noon today. It was 105 and that was in the shade! I don't think I have ever seen it this hot as long as I have been here (6+years). My son, who usually LOVES it outside, doesn't even want to go out and play in the backyard. Can't say I blame him. No fun for kids, no fun for the rest of us. Thank G-D for our air conditioned little bubbles (houses, stores, cars). If you get a chance, buy a fan or two for those that don't have air conditioners. Stay cool :-)
