This is a powerful message preached in 2002 to 5,000 youth. Fire and brimstone with nothing but Scripture to back it up.
Shocking Youth Message Stuns Hearers.
Made me want to get down on my knees. It shows how the political correctness has infected the Church and had disasterous results resulting in an unbiblical revision of many doctrines.

Parents, you should really love this.
WHY PARENTS DRINK
A mother passing by heer son's bedroom was astonished to see his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to Mom. With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter.
Dear Mom:
It is with great regret that I'm writing to you. I had to elope with my girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with and and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice, but I knew you would not approve of her because of all of her ear piercings, tattoos, tight motercycle clothes, and the fact that she is much older than I am.
But she's not only the passion of my life Mom, she is pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share the dream of having many more children.
Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We will be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime, we will pray that science will find acure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She really deserves it.
Don't worry, Mom. I'm 15 qnd know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren.
Love,
Your Son Jon
P.S. Mom, none of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. Ijust wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that's in my center desk drawer.
I love you.......Call me when it's safe to come home.

The Texas A&M basketball team had a total flop last night. The Aggies, in the process of shooting a mere 34% from the field and committing 20 turnovers, showed they had a lot further to go. Whether it was because of the rowdy crowd cheering an aging coaching genius or the early loss of DeAndre Jorden the Aggies seemed nervous and fidgetey, and their defense suffered. Though only giving up 68 points the Raiders were getting anything they wanted towards the end of each half: they weren't getting stops when they had to. It seemed with every failure at the defensive end the offense got worse due to either lack of discipline or confidence. Aggies, pull your jockstraps up and play real basketball! If you want people to respect you then give them something to respect.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm psyched up about this year's TV lineup. "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles premiered last night. So far the plot doesn't seem to deep which can be a good thing; another "Lost" isn't neccessary. A ton of action, maybe more than 24. The action seems to be done in a timely manner, enthralling anyone and brings you to the edge od your seat. I'll be watching this one as long as it's on.
Now for "American Idol", the greatest show on earth (except for football). This show has shown the longevity and sucess in finding talent that validates as the best talent search ever. Love seeing the goofy people, thye make you laugh to were you have a heart attack. Just a great all around show and I'm watching it.
Finally, "Comanche Moon". Most westerns are great movies but rarely have we seen a tv series with the theme. Classic story of the conflict between western pioneers and Indians along with a little intrigue combine to make a classic. My personal feeling is this show's going to get good.
I'd like to hear everyone else chime in on their favorite shows.

...because I pulled it all out!!! Once again Romo's celebrity and ego came crashing down into a horrible loss. The offensive was great at first but became like deer in the headlights and not even Tony Sporano's rampage could change it . Barber than could not even buy an inch allowing the Giants to play for the pass but when the offensive line began to fail, the New York defense ravaged the backfield and Romo. And when Romo was rushed he screwed up and held the ball but when he was given time the doofus threw it away!! The defense let them rundown the field like a saturday in the park, allowing them to celebrate like it was the fourth of July (song reference intended). A collected effort screwed the team and the fans who watched them all season. Let the blogger rage begin!

For everyone outraged at Iraq, what about a worse problem coming from the very streets of our nations cities? A Nightline report yesterday came from the E.R. of a Philidelphia hospital. There is always a flow of patients with wounds inflicted out of pure malice such as being ran over, intentionally, by a car or being viciously mugged and stabbed or being shot with deadly intent. More people are killed (murdered) on America's streets than soldiers are killed in Iraq. Isn't that sad? 75 to 150 people die in our cities DAILY. Imagine the outrage and protests that would result from such frequent killings in Iraq. So tell me, what's more important:protesting five to ten soldiers dying in a week or the hundred every day Americans murdered daily?
(no disrespect intended towards our soldiers. they should be held in the highest regard)

Does anyone really think that the GOP is more ethical than the Democratic party or vice-versa? Certainly, Bill Clinton and others on the Democratic side have a poor track record, but so do many Republicans. Neither party can or should hold ethics against the other for it is by no means justified.
Democrats claim to be the ethical party because most party members don't actually commit to many crimes (or we don't hear about it when they do). They do, however, support abortion rights, giving taxpayer money to drug addicts, gay marriage, illegal immigration, eliminating the death penalty, and handing out condoms and birh control in schools to name a few. They then brush under the carpet the crimes of their fellow party members when they do commt them and believe that being "progressive" exempts them from acting ethical. They ignore the Bible saying, "to whom much is entrusted much more will be asked". A better policy when it comes to morality is to examine each individual seperately and not the party as a whole.
Republicans are no better. Sure, their policies are more well thought out and ethical but not many of their actions. Larry Craig has a wide stance for more reasons than one. Tom DeLay took campaign contribution which were literally bribes. Many other candidates have commited many more crimes than what I have mentioned, but there's not enough room for me to mention them (lump Democrats in with that). I say, to liberals especially, that in this case to, examine the individual.
No politician is sincere (except a select few). This is widely excepted but normally when members of one party look at politicians of another. There is always a celebrity in everyone in this over-glorified servitude called politics. They only worry about getting reelected to continue their career, though it shouldn't be a career, often at the expense of the people. No matter what side of the party lines you're on the hypocrisy of politicians is not moral. Since neither side has anything all the other, ethics has no place in the political arena. For the last time, looking at the individual is key.
So arguing about morality is fruitless, it doesn't solve anything. Ethics does not define party lines but blurs them, changing opposing sides from the apparent black and white to shades of grey. The only place to look for morals is in the policies of each individual and even then it may not be clear. Leave ethics out GOP/leftist debates and you'll be standing by the maxim "there are no ethics in politics".

(I'm offering this as a forum to vent all out against our "represenatives")
The FDA(about a weak ago) was considering regulations against sodium in food. Now, I take prednezone for medical reasons and it lowers the amount of sodium I can intake. Considering this even, I believe the government needs to butt out! It's these ego-maniacs are only concerned about there own agenda. Sodium regulations wouldn't really help your health, but it looks good, unforunately, to many.
Ever sense the so called greatest president, FDR, started his new deck of cards thing people have willingly relinquished to many powers to government. Generations of people have been raised on welfare and burning holes in our pockets. Now socializedhealthcare to accompany medicare, social security, and medicaid? If Billary becomes president she will raise taxes like who knows what.
When did everyone become so politically correct? Right now I'm watching a story about a third grader who was sent to the principle's office for handing out gift bags to students with candy cains and a religous bookmark. People see the Jena six as martyrs when they ganged up on and beat up a kid(notice I called him a kid not a white, red, or green kid). We have government agencies in existence only for the purpose of keeping a "fair" level of minorities in the workforce. Businesses are now making race based decisions, laying off white workers to hire more minorities. The government is it's own worst enemy. Terrible.
Liars with hidden agendas is a good definition for politicians. No integrity. It seems they only seemingly care about the people's will during elections and after that it's agenda or bust. What happened to their "duty to God and country"? I guess it makes them feel powerful, having all of our money at their disposal. They feel good by sending money to Africa that doesn't get past despotic dictators or by giving freely to any cause. It's not the United Way it's the United States of America! No integrity, honesty, or genuine feeling. I'm feeling my stomach churning.
I'm going to stop immediatly before I really gag. Your chance is hear, let 'em have it(no expletives. Namecalling is good)

There is no place for immature namecalling in this forum. If namecalling is your final stance in an argument, please just exit the arguement. To many people( liberals AND conservatives alike) resort to namecalling when they are defeated.
Just as bad is people deleting responses from fellow bloggers. If you believe you are supported by facts(which an opinion should be) , why delete comments of different viewpoints? Use facts for rebuttle or consent the debate without namecalling.
Please use arguments with substance with no personal attacks of character on other bloggers. It's better to follow these guidlines than lowering your self to the level of those that don't. Carry a logical trail of thought supported by facts and STOP the namecalling.

Dear, American People,
It seams that today the central fovernment has far exceeded the boundries of this nations longstanding Constitution. The fears of an elected despotism that so plagued the minds of my contemporaries has, unfortunately, come to be. I'm not writing, however, to discuss such a broad topic, but to tell of the "freedom of religion" clause that has been sadly misinterpreted as "freedom from religion".
Some fellow Americans have called it to my attention that the common analysis of Ammendment I by many Republicans involves viewing only one segment, so lets examine the whole. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;", the an establishment of religion meaning a previously existing religious institution or one coming into existence. With this definition in mind, we determine the Congress may not legislate restrictions on churches, mosques, or tabernacles and the observance of the practices regarding spiritual beliefs (the latter part due to it being part of religous establishments). The previous statement is further supported by the 'prohibiting the free exercise thereof:", clause since prohibiting is simply the most extreme embodiment of restricting.
Now for the more practical discussion pertaining to legislatures and other government bodies virtually eliminating any inkling of open expression of Christianity. I know many of the liberal mindset will bound on my arguement in support of Christianity, accusing me of being biased. Rest assured, my debates will only consist of the content of our Constitution. Elimination of rights such as praying and evangelising freely in institutions is blatantly in violation of the 1st Ammendent. This is clearly prohibiting free exercise along with freedom of speach, hence evangelising. Victims of such restrictions not only include our children, but the government employees and teachers who may no longer express spirituallality due to threat of puplic outcry and loss of employment. Such division was intended to be destroyed by the Constitution, not created by it's misenterpretation.
In conclusion, legislating away our freedom of religion is a common occurance today. It violates the original powers layed out by my fellow founding fathers. We are falling into a great pit leading to the despotism of the Church of England that has been dug by the very people that are attempting to prevent history from repeating itself. We're slowly beginning to follow the document formed from the opinions of our represenative's. Wakeup and be watchful America and fight for your God given liberies in the days ahead.
Sincerely yours, Thomas Jefferson.

A woman was calmly sitting in her living room reading the Bible when all of the sudden, a burglar broke through her kitchen window. The frightened woman screamed and shouted Acts 2:38 (repent and be baptized in the name of Christ for the forgiveness of your sins) at the intruder, who froze in fear at the exclamation.
Later, a policeman that had arrived on the scene after the woman had called was questioning the burglar. He asked "she just said a Bible verse, why did you freeze?". "Why wouldn't I", he replied, "she had an axe and 2 38's!!!"
The Lord works in mysterious ways, doesn't he? LOL

For the last few years, IH-45 has been under construction just north of Corsicana to widen it from four to six lanes. A sign was set up,when work first started, that said the road would open in the spring of '07, but now a new one says fall of '08!
Chip, when will this silly road open!?
