Quick question..... who has a problem paying more in taxes to help the children from the polygamy compound?

My answer:  Not at all.... as long as they are not returned under the same circumstances they were taken out.  To me if they are returned and nothing is changed than they will just have all their fears of the outside world confirmed.  The brainwashing will work better than ever,  and we will be out of a lot of money.  I will not say I have the answer for how th cases can be handled fairly, but last night I heard one of their lawyers say something about CPS causing "parental abuse" and I can not quit thinking about how ridiculous that sounds.  Since when are parents allowed to do literally whatever they want with/to their children and everyone keep their mouths closed and do nothing???

I am going to play the devil's advocate for the moment.Where is the proof of any abuse in the compound? The only person so for saying anything has been proven to be a hoax. How many people have been charged in the case? The kids all seem to be in good health. Has there even been anyone charged with polygamy? As far as I am concerned, this is just another case where the pityful excuse for a CPS we have jumping in before the facts are all known. I am going to assume you have not had any dealings with this idiot bunch. We have and take it from me just how incompetent they are.

At least 3 UNDERAGE GIRLS have given birth WHILE IN STATE CUSTODY. Others ALREADY have children.

Now, tell me there's no abuse?

I do not think anyone is saying that CPS will handle this perfectly , but there have been things to come out. Like what Sally said and that broken bones have been reported, or that so manytadults have come forward who used to live there, or the graveyard with unmarked baby graves, or the fac that when the children were first taken and asked who their mother and father are they could answer because everyone is their mother and all the fathers are reffered to as uncle. WTF
If someone from the compound did not call CPS someone who knew they should be contacted did, and God bless them. Having such young GIRLS forced into marriges and told their old husbands will show them what sex is while they are on their GROUP honeymoon does not point in anyother direction but wrong according to our current laws. They may be very imperfect but CPS is not the bad guy here...they may not always be right or do right but they exsist because of things like this...I think

We are going to pay anyway, one way or another. These underage girls will have these children on all kinds of gov. assist. That means tax dollars to help pay for med. bills, etc. Should be some old men paying for all this crap. Old Bassturds!!

MMM From what I have read, and I could be wrong, but the 3 underage girls who gave birth turned out not to be underage after all. And since we have 13 and 14 and tons of 15 years old girls in America giving birth everyday, who is to say now days what is underage? Until someone is really charged with a crime, I will hold my judgment. That being said, it still doesn’t make everything that went on there OK.

Youngsters who work crops and livestock,as opposed to playing on the computer, will have broken bones from time to time.As a farm boy,I had a couple. But that is not abuse. As far as the rest of the charges, who is to say that the girls didn't do what they did willingly.Maybe they were taught that was the way they were supposed to be,even if it is wrong to us? As far as the girls who gave birth, they were found to be over sixteen.Go to any poor area of Dallas and you can see mothers under age. Why do they still have their kids? What is alleged to have went on in that compound is reprehensible to us,but then so is some of the tribal practices in Africa and other parts of the world.

We are not in Africa.
These girls have been brainwashed.
As for the poor young girls we see getting pregnant on our streets I would guess they are not pregnant by their 30, 40, 50 and + husbands they were told to marry.
And again WE ARE NOT IN AFRICA
What aboutthe boys left for dead, kicked out, and also molested because the men in these societies do not want them marrying the young girls.
This compound is a cult pretending to be a religious santuary.

I am with acoolone - witholding judgment until judgment is passed. I have smelled a rat on this whole situation for a while - yes these people are probably crazy, but AK-47s and body armor Branch Dividian take-down style crazy? I am waiting for concrete evidence, not just speculation to come out. I feel really bad for the kids - both because of what probably went on in there and also because of what they are having to see now.

We what bother me is the fact that the government will come out on the news saying a girl was underage, then come back a few days and say they made a mistake. I think they are trying to sway public opinion.

My point was that until we get evidence, not rumor and he said she said, the people in the compound should have the freedom to live anyway they see fit. It appears some approve of underage girls having babies as long as daddy is also underage.I don't approve of unwed women having babies at any age.It sounds to me like some officials screwed up on the search warrant and are trying to cover their rears through the media. And the boy who was kicked out and left to die? Well he,as it turned out,was never in the compound.

Yes, you're wrong. Familiar feeling, right? I think ONE turned out to not be underage (Wonder why she was in state custody then though).

I won't justify your personal attack with another.I debate sides of a topic.I may choose next time to be on the other side.Personal attacks,I believe is why you have a slightly different name. You see I think both sides of any topic should be heard and discussed.I try to be factual, but I don't catch every newscast on every station.

The reason a lot of the girls were in state custody is because they either lied about or were assumed to have lied about their ages. I think the state way overstepped it's boundaries on this one... And I'll keep saying that until they get their information straight.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE STATE DIDN'T JUST SAVE ALL THAT MONEY AND KEEP EVERYONE OF THEM THERE IN THE COMPOUND, TOGETHER, MOTHERS AND WITH THEIR CHILDREN, AND CONDUCT ALL THE DNA TESTS AND SUCH THERE? WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST TAKE THE "OFFENDERS" FROM THE COMPOUND? SEEMS IT'D BEEN ALOT CHEAPER ALL THE WAY AROUND.

Streetlight sally hasn’t got a clue about much of anything, that’s why I pay little attention to what she has to say. Are you up to $20 yet sally?

Keller,I guess you mean why didn't they just remove the men? That is easy, they had no authority to do that. They only could remove the children. The way I understood it the mothers went with the kids on their own.
