I can't believe none of you have started a post about the controversial Vogue magazine cover.    

When asked about the photo LeBron said that he was "happy with the shot and that he was just showing a little emotion".

But certain people are claiming that the photo will make the public think of black men as animals (King Kong), or criminals, and that he should not have been posed in the shot in such a manner.

I'm just curious though, if LeBron didn't have a problem with it, the Vogue editors (of which I understand work endlessly to NOT OFFEND ANYONE) approved it and printed it, then why should anyone else get a say?  This is not one of those fantasy adult only magazines, this is a respectful publication with respecutful athletes on the cover.

I guess I just don't understand why certain groups just can't let us be Human, and why every little thing in life has to be some how misconstrued as being RACIALLY motivated.

If these people would just stop trying to make everyone feel sorry for them because their skin is of a different color than their neighbors, then racial tensions would cease and we could all live happily together as a HUMAN RACE!  I just wish they would stop stirring the pot.    I really think these people just LOVE CONTROVERSARY and truly DON'T WANT peace and equality for ALL of mankind.

I have heard it said that the terrositic muslims have sworn to tear down America from the inside out.  What better way to do it than to put someone with muslim ties into the highest position in this country?  (please note that I am not claiming that Barak is a terrostist nor a muslim, just that he does have ties to those that are)

And I have also heard that the president of Mexico has sworn to take over America without ever firing a shot or raising a finger.

I can completely understand why some people would agree with this, but what about you?

I'm hoping that some of you bloggers can help me. I'm beginnning to think that I've lost my mind.  I have been searching the web, antique stores, garage sells, trade days, and estate sales for the past 2 years looking for a couple of older toys to no avail.  Now I'm starting to think that I'm crazy and that these toys never existed, that I must have just made them up in my own memory.   The first one that I am looking for is a puffalump style baby elephant with a rattle inside.  All the research that I have done tells me that it is indeed a Fisher Price puffalump.  I can find the other animals- but not the elephant.  It is pastel, has light blue stripes on one side of the front body, an attached bib I believe outlined in yellow, and the pads of the feet where I think 1 pink & the other blue, and it had on a bright yellow hat, with a red button on top.   My best guess would be that it was made in the late 80's- early 90's.  During my quest to find this elusive elephant, I started thinking about some of the toys that I had played with as a child.  So, I started researching those, but there is still one that I cannot find.  And no one else seems to remember it either.   It was a toy (made out of plastic and sold in the toy aisle) polaroid camera.  And you put water in it to "develop" the pictures.   I'm guessing that it was made in the late 70's - early 80's.     My main objective here for this post, is to see if anyone else remembers these toys - or am I really loosing my mind? :)

My family and I have decided as to whom we want to lead our great nation for the next 4-8 years.  We choose a people's person, Willie Nelson!  Of course we'll have to write him in, but I would rather do that than to say that I voted for any of these others that are aimed at ruining our great nation.

My reasons:    1.  He's not about being flashy, he's about the people  2.  He truly cares about our planet- he owns and operates his own brand of Bio-Fuel.  He grows his own crops, which helps to purify the air, and produces more oxygen.  3. He started the benefit concert FARM AID.    4.  He surely would not have a problem slashing TAXES.           Just a few of the reasons that I could list out.

So tell me what you think.  Would AMERICA and it's people (us) be better off to vote for one of the candidates that we have to select from OR would we be better off writing in Willie?             

If you agree with me- then pass it around to all of your friends.  Wouldn't  it be great if enough people actually did write in Willie causing Hillary & Obama to be shoved out of the running?????

I need help in understanding this gas business.  A barrell is around $90 right now.  Most Americans assume that the majority of this crude oil comes from the middle east.  But does it really?  Who are we paying this $90 a barrell to?  With  the record breaking profits that Exxon has made in 2007 it makes me wonder-- are we here in the states actually paying sooo much more for a gallon of gasoline just to make these American based oil companies richer?  There has to be more to it.  Surely we Americans (me included) can't be that ignorant.   All of this time I thought we were paying so much now because of the way we work to import from the middle east.  It just doesn't make sense to me.  Exxon is an American company- with profits like these, don't they think that they have somehow ripped off fellow Americans just to make their own pockets larger?  I can understand being ripped off by companies in foreign lands, but here in our own backyard?  Can someone please help me to understand this?
