I hadnt seen it featured anywhere yet, but thought I'd post what I know.

This morning an SUV and a Dart rail train collided, at about 8:45am. This happened at Bryan St and Olive St downtown. The car flipped on its roof. The driver was ok and walked away, thank goodness!

I did not hear the cause of the accident, but the car may have ran a red light.

They were so many onlookers with cell phones capturing pics of the over-turned car.

Both the Red and the Blue Line trains coming from Plano and Garland to downtown were delayed and some trains even had to reroute their passengers.

I am just so glad no one was hurt.

You can bet, the odds are in favor of the driver being at fault! Whether they ran a red light or were stopped on the tracks in traffic!

I totally agree Graywolf!! I witnessed 3 cars running the red light where Griffin St. crosses Pacific (The Dart Rail Tracks) downtown. A DART Police Officer decided to pull over the 3rd car and it just happened to be a co-worker of mine. A short time later she walked into work & all I said was Good Morning! (I said nothing about the red light). She immediately said "Well it was a good morning until I got pulled over & the officer gave me a ticket" Her tone of voice seemed to indicate she was irritated she had been pulled over & got a ticket. Well at that point, I could not resist...I told her i witnessed her running the RED light behind 2 other cars & she deserved every bit of that ticket & the fine that comes with it. She was of course not pleased with my remark, but I have no problem with saying something to someone who obviously has no consideration for the safety of other drivers, people on the DART Rail, or her own and then gets mad because a Police Officer was doing his job. She like alot of other drivers now-a-days, seem to have the attitude that their driving is nobodys business including a police officer's & that no one has the right to say or do anything to them. A Police Officer friend once told me that these kind of drivers forget they are SHARING THE ROAD with everyone else & that when they drive crazy & endanger others, their dangerous driving IS everyone's business. So do like ALOT of other drivers do & if you can SAFELY do it, pick-up that cell phone & report these kind of drivers to the local police department. Maybe you will help prevent some of these idio
