I wish the Fire Departments and Police Departments would start ticketing and charging people who make dumb decisions to put not only themselves but the rescuers at risk that saves them. It is a shame to see people who go out to rising creeks during the storms to look at the water (whether adults or sometimes unfortunate unsupervised children) or the ones who think just because they own a truck, SUV, or passenger cars they can drive through these flood waters because they are either too lazy or in a big hurry, to usually go nowhere, that they can't go an extra mile or less to a safer route to go nowhere, but instead they choose to drive through flood waters that are above their tires or higher. Just dumb, dumb, and dumber. I say for each unnecessary (meaning the dumb, dumb, and dumber folks) water rescue these folks need to be charged a service fee for the rescue services and the police need to ticket them for one putting themselves and others at risk and also for the towing of the car that is left behind.
