I would like to know what is the deal with this stimulas checks. My deadline date to receive my $600 was the 9th. I am supposted to qualify for it according to the IRS. So where is it. I have called the recording at the IRS and it does not answer too many questions. What I really want to know is why the IRS says that we as Americans are intitled to a little bit of extra cash that is much needed at one point, then you hear about it on the news and the radio that everyone qualifies, then a few weeks later now only certain people qualify and not everybody will get one. Still no check from the IRS has been deposited into my account but my saving accounts is still missing that so called extra money.  What is th deal?

I e-filed mine with H&R Block online, but apparently there was a problem with my social being used elsewhere as a dependent. I was livid! AS OLD AS I AM? Hahahahaha! But, they told me it could very well be a typo and they have to do a thorough investigation on the "other" return where my number showed up. I IMMEDIATELY followed all of the correct procedures when you suspect that you could be a victim of fraud or identity theft, and I am not as worried anymore, but the problem delayed EVERYTHING and I'll just have to wait.

So, I had to mail in the return as opposed to electronically filing it, which ofcourse will naturally DELAY my refund and my stimulus check, but better safe than sorry. I can understand why the IRS takes these appropriate measures.

But, if everything had gone well from the beginning, I would have received my check by direct deposit with the first group of numbers! DRATS!!!

So, don't worry so. It's coming sooner or later. More like later though. The more you look forward to something the more disappointed you will be when the outcome is different than what you anticipated.

Be patient, it'll come...

If you used any 3rd party to file your taxes... you will receive your check "paper form". They will start sending out the paper checks this Friday earlier than anticipated.

3rd party: H/R Block, Turbo Tax, etc...
If you received your refund direct deposit and used Turbo Tax, they (Turbo Tax) does not notify IRS of your banking information. If you received a RAL(Refund Anticipation Loan) you will receive your check via snail mail as well.

Also if you google "I filed with turbo tax where is my stimulus refund" you will find TONS of links to read regarding other filers and information.

the IRS website just FINALLY posted that information regarding "Frequently Asked Questions".

I received my check on the 7th it was scheduled for the 9th of May. I also used an on-line tax service called TaxAct. I was very surprised on Wednesday night when I check my back account on-line and saw it had been deposited.

I e-filed my taxes with H&R and actually got mine a couple days before it was supposed to be in. It was direct deposit and according to the IRS site that is what speeded it up as well.
I would check to make sure they have your correct address or perhaps correct bank information. BUT if you already received your regular tax refund by direct deposit then the stimulus check will go directly in as well. That is what happened with me.
Good Luck, hope you get it soon. :)

Turbo Tax? Prepare to be audited in due course. I used that for 3 years and they IRS nabbed me. The agent told me they audit a lot of folks that use that as there is a proclivity on the part of the user to embellish. I'm certainly not accusing you, as I don't know you, just a little heads up for you in the future.
