The news story DALLAS --  --  A new report says Texas leads the nation in the number of uninsured children with 1.4 million.

The report released Wednesday by advocacy group Families USA places Texas first in the U.S. for both the number of uninsured children and the percentage of uninsured children -- almost 21 percent.

The report, based on Census Bureau data, uses the most recent numbers, which are for the three-year period from 2005 to 2007. The group says that the number of uninsured children increased by nearly 33,400 between the three-year period from 2003 to 2005 and the three-year period from 2005 to 2007.

The report says that about 74 percent of uninsured children come from homes where at least one family member works full-time.

Families USA is a national nonprofit dedicated to achieving affordable health care for all Americans.

 

 My story This doesn't surprise me in the least, I've been in the medical field for almost 7 years and consulted many practices... where the Dr. doesn't even provide medical insurance for their employees.

 

And, lets not forget about our illegal aliens in TX that I KNOW don't have health insurance for their children. Why would they, when they have Parkland Hospital at their fingertips? I know the stats of Parkland Hospital and the illegal’s that flow through there on a yearly basis would blow your mind.

 

But, have no fear fellow Americans; with Obama as our new president our tax dollars will soon be a work so that all can have health care! I love knowing that I'm going to be paying EVEN MORE in taxes to insure that the illegal on the other side of town can deliver her 5th child and receive the same health care that I do... Even though I PAY FOR PRIVATE INSURANCE.... Yes, I pay out of my own pocket every month, I'm now self-employed and pay for my own insurance and will do so for my child, when the day comes.  

"CANTON, Texas --  --  An East Texas inmate made a brief getaway after jumping behind the wheel of the police pickup truck that was transporting him.

Authorities say David Lee Sprague was in the backseat of a Van Zandt County vehicle Thursday when the detective who was driving stepped out of the truck to talk with someone.

Van Zandt County Sheriff Pat Burnett said, "I have certainly had better days than this one." How does this happen?!?!?!? Why wasn't this man in shackles and cuffs that are attached at the waist?? He should be flogged for trying to escape and paraded around the jail so the other inmates can see what happens if you try to pull a stunt like this..... Thats it......  Give me control of the judicial system, I'll clean it up.

I don't expect anyone to comment on this, it's just something I'm passionate about....

This story is just heart breaking for me. I've been a SCUBA diver for 15 years. I've been all over the Caribbean including Grand Caymen several times and experienced "Stingray City" where these wonderful creatures practically cover your body trying to get the banana's out of your bc pack. I do understand that chlorine isnt something that is normally tested in a salt water tank and it was an honest mistake, but I hope they get this cleared up soon.

Didn't one man get hit in the stomach and another in the hand?? Perhaps it's time to revert back to cruel and unusual punishment... I've always thought we should... Shoot the bastard in the stomach and the hand, let him bleed for a bit, then stitch him up.... But then again, I think rapist should be sodomized on a daily basis with a large blunt object or strapped to an ant bed and honey pured onto their genitals and theives should have their fingers or hands cut off.... Thats just me though.....The crime rate WOULD decline in America if jail wasn't so appealing!!!

This doens't suprise me in least, and if Obama gets elected, these are the types of charades that we can expect from "african americans". I only put that in quotations because I don't go around demanding to be called "Scottish American" or "Irish American".... WHITE is perfectly fine with me. If she feels like a foreigner in the US, then go to Africa or where ever you would feel more at home, but when you're on American soil and you have been invited to sing the US National Anthem... SING IT... Word for word. Your own rendition is not welcome here. And how has she been singing it for the past 40 or 50 yrs?? I'm sure this little stunt of hers wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that Obama won't EVEN utter the words or put his hand over is heart during OUR US NATIONAL ANTHEM.... would it.
