Regarding Mr Gonzalez's resignation as Attorney General, I have a question.

Where's LULAC and the other hispanic supporting groups that march and protest when some unfair treatment has been given to any other hispanic??

Just something I've been thinking about..anyone have any answers?

Sorry LEC = they're all down at the border, making sure some drug smuggling idiot doesn't get shot in the butt by someone trying to protect our country !!!

I suspect that the Attorney General is a legal citizen of the United States of America, therefore he doesn't qualify for assistance.

True, he probably isn't even in their radar. Just goes to show how liberal their organzations are.

I get such a kick out of the statement "Fix the illegal immigration problem". And yes, I think the issue needs fixing, but the problem is the illegal immigrants, violating existing law and the reluctance of federal authorities to enforce existing laws.

If they did just THAT MUCH over the past 25 years, there would be no problem.

How many times must they be beaten over the head and told "stop the bleeding; close the border" and then we'll talk. There is no real solution until the bleeding is stopped.

With all respect to Mr. Gonzalez, he did make the mistake. When the Dem's started crying "The firings were political!" he should have said, "Yeah, so? I'm Attorney General, and you're not."

Instead he tried to play Cat in the Litterbox, and became ensnarled by his own words.

Maybe God was being merciful by not letting a perfectly good man become the political version of Michael Vicks Pit Bulls. Perhaps He said, "That's not what I want for you, son."

Yeah, I suppose you're right bloggomatic. To bad he was the perfect person for the job. He was neither conservative or liberal...his views were in the middle.
Boy I can't wait to see what happens of this country next election and in the upcoming 4 years...

Here is a thought, if it all goes to hell in a hand basket, are you prepared? May i suggest to hope for the best and prepare for the worst so that you may have at the very least a sanctuary to dwell in? It always gets worse before it gets better. Just an idea.

Yes, I am prepared. God gives me the will and strength to live and be a positive and loving Christian woman everyday. Thanks for the idea!

well, Gonzalez's treatment wasn't exactly unfair. it was justice. or the pursuit of it rather. which the Democrats claim they haven't finished yet.

It is a shame that the highest ranking person of Hispanic heritage has been dragged through the mud largely by the party that claims to be the Big Umbrella for all minorities. I wonder what they will do if and when Anglos become a true minority. Hmmmmm-mayonnaise sandwiches and iced tea at the convention? Badminton tournaments? Hmmmmmm.

Exactly, Trublu. Gonzalez, no matter your opinion of him was hispanic. (I believe anyways) and look, no one is sticking up for him. Not one of those hispanic groups are calling foul. Why is that? Because they're so left sided its not even funny.

Maybe if Gonzalez was here illegally and swimming in the fountains in front of city hall then they'd stick up for him!

the reason why the hispanic groups or most hispanic individuals are not coming to Gonzalez's aide is because of his tie to President Bush. another reason is because some feel that he is a sell out.

Another Bush cronie goes by the wayside. Just shocking.

Maybe his fellow hispanics are not sticking up for him because they are embarrassed by his incompetence.

I don't think Gonzalez necessarily sold out, he just plain got caught. And hopefully it's not over, he could still be prosecuted the way it sounds. Yes, another Bush cronie is unemployed. Give me a sec. to put on my best surprise face.

Nice to see what's left of Phoenix' liberal committee is still alive and kicking!!

Keep digging, Leahy....you've been at it for almost a year and haven't come up with a thing !!

Well, Sandy Berger got nailed stealing pre-9/11 documents from the National Archives and William Jefferson freezes all of his assets, but I guess Pat didn't have any comment on those crimes. Tooooo funny.
