You see the police cam watching these two boys cross the street from a distance.  It is working fine and recording.  The boys are just walking and talking.  They walk between a couple of houses on their way to pick up another friend to go to church.

The officer pulls up to where the boys crossed.  The cam goes black.  No more recording.

Suddenly, more officers on the scene and the cams come back on and all you can hear is a boy yelling that his arm has gone knumb and it hurts.  You don't hear the officers at all.  All you hear is this boys screams.  The cams are working perfectly now.

What happened inbetween??  Why did this officer have to break this boys arm?  What is his defense?

I don't think there is any.  Why not question the boys?  Why automatically assume that they are breaking into homes?  Why get so physical?

This boy is now in the hospital because his arm is so badly broken that he has to have surgery on it.  The other boy is released by mother is told that he got jailed for breaking some pedestrian law!!!  Get real!!!

AND, this is not the first complaint on this officer.  A couple of weeks before, he uses his car to bring down another person.

Well, I wonder where all of the money for the lawsuits will come from just because some officers feel that they have the power to do what they want when they want and how they want.

Who can you trust now?  You can't even trust a cop when you get pulled over.

Police doing drugs, stealing, raping, beating their spouses, falsifying tickets.

Where is the protection?

You can bet that those cops will lose their jobs and charges filed...law suit to follow.

my questions is ... do boys really wear saggin shorts to CHURCH???? something tells me that maybe they were not on the way to church. The kids i see at church aren't dressed like that

Is that the boy who had is arm BROKEN by the cop? An outrage, really. I swear, when cops don't act professional, there's something a stink in Hamlet.

I don't think those boys were up to anything wrong, just the presumption of the cops! NOT GOOD.

Yes, TM. They do dress that way to church.

I know it is an outrage...but, they do dress like that.

I could careless if they were or were not on their way to church or not....

My concern is what these police are doing.

These kids were not doing anything wrong. They were seen where they were coming from and where they were going.

I would be one PISSED off parent.

To bend anyone arm, to the point of breaking it... good grief, that's wrong! Might be good if that cop lost his job.

camera just "went black" huh....right....

that right there is a dead give away....

funny how they work when they NEED them to....

but they mysteriously just stop working when they need to hide something.....

I smell BS here.......

We don't know exactly why the kids were stopped, but reports of some burglarized homes had been made. Cops have the right to stop anyone suspicious. Walking between houses is suspicious. Have any of you been to Lancaster?

of course...suspicious activity is a reason for stopping someone....

but lets not distract ourselves from the point that LUV was attempting to make here....

What escalated the issue to the point of force being used?......we don't know because the officer disabled his camera....

Strange that red light cameras never just 'go black' - -

Don't care what my wifer says,
Ain't my feet stinking here !

Exactly my point, Ted. Thank you.

After watching the interview and what was caught on tape, you can tell that these boys were not doing anything.

Reported burgleries does not constitute bad behavior on a policemans behalf. Especially BRUTAL force on a kid.

He has to have surgery on his arm...that is how bad it is.

I am not saying that the cop was not overly aggressive. He was and will probably get fired. But this kid's story doesn't add up either. I don't believe he was going to church at all. They said they have been having trouble with cameras malfunctioning, but no one ever said the officer intentionally turned it off.

If an officer stops you, whether or not you think you have done anything wrong, you have to stop and do as you are told. One of the boys sat on the curb like he was asked to and the other did not.

And you cannot tell from a news story. Stories can be spun anyway the editor wants. Just because the news said it happened this way, that does not mean it does.

What if the kid was lying? 17 year olds do that. Yeah, he was about to start a new job, yeah he has to graduate in a cast, but the bottom line is that you do not know if the boy did as the officer told him or if he decided to ignore what the officer told him to do.

of course he would never admit to turning it off...it just seems a little suspicious for it to "go black" right at that particular moment...or at least it does to me

They would need to check if other oficers cameras had a habit of just going off, whether or not something aggressive happened.

It is possible that he turned it off, but it is also possible that they are not working right. We don't know, especially not from the interview and news story alone.

Dittos ted.
What a coincidence. Cam not working, then working? geeeez
The kid had a broken arm! Prove they weren't going to church or had stolen property. They were just convenient suspects.

And of course we will never know if the kid listened or not due to the officers own fault.

How convenient....it malfunctioned while he was "attempting to question". But, came back on when he put the boy to the car.

So, to excuse the officers actions, we still try to put blame on the kid?

I don't hear any "holes" in the boys story, IMO.

The story for the arrest of the other boy was FOR BREAKING A PEDESTRIAN LAW.

Get real.

You're right, the whole thing stinks and the fact that these were 2 young black men, makes it worse. Well, I only hope the truth comes out and wrongs are righted.

I think the part you are ignoring is BREAKING A LAW.

Who is ignoring "breaking the law"??

These kids were NOT breaking the law in any way.

I would hate to be your kid, Bottomless....
You would probably side with the police and tell your kid he deserved to have his arm broken.

That's what is sounds like to me....My opinion.

Have you even bothered to watch the video or listen to the news segment and what the police chief had to say about this officer having done this before??

I guess not.
