Too young or Too old?

19 year old in Bedford sworn in as a council member and a 19 year old freshmen from the University of Oklahoma was elected as MAYOR for Muscogee, Ok.  A city of 38,000 people.

Do we honestly think that these "still wet behind the ears" gentlemen can do the job that is needed?

Give the young man a chance think of the experience he's getting running a public office, you're thinking more about his age than anything else, has it ever occured to you a young man this young is mayor of a town? just at the age of 19 he's already setting pace to governorship or even higher before he reaches 30.. thats a great thing, very very impressive and if the town believed in him enough to elect him so be it. we all know kids his age would be out doing something else lesser or worse.

Why not? Apparently the citizens felt that a young person might bring fresh ideas to the job as well as not have any bad habits that some older council members & politicians tend to have.

He seemed like a very smart man. Just think about this.......he is not corrupt yet.

Kudos to him for running for and winning mayor. I hope he does well by he town he represents.

Ravenmoore, why do you always have to come off so offensively?

This is a place for opinions, a place to agree to disagree. lol

I am simply asking, since so many people have issues with the youngster of todays world whether, they feel that these "young" men can do the job.

June, lets hope that they don't pick up any habbits from the ones already there and maybe bring in some good ones.

Cuddos to ya muddy.

I appreciate everyones honesty. I was just wondering why you always come in so harsh. Like you did on the post regarding the man who bashed his ex-wife to death. In that post, you basically whined about how this woman probably drove him to do what he did to her and how the Texas law always defends the women.

You don't come in and want to blog, you want to argue.

That's okay. We like to argue. lol

IT'S ONE THING TO MAKE A REMARK ABOUT A YOUNG FELLA GETTING ELECTED BUT JUST PLAIN STUPID TO MAKE A EXCUSE WHY A MAN BEAT A WOMEN TO DEATH,THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT.I WILL ARGUE WITH ANYONE WHO DOES AND TEXAS LAW DOES NOT ALWAY'S DEFEND THE WOMEN.WHEN'S THE LAST TIME YOU HEARD ABOUT A WOMAN BEATEN A MAN TO DEATH RAVENMOORE 2000 ????????
