Thank God that they found her.  I hope to hear more on how the child is doing and why she did not come forward on her own.

(I also love how this picture CLEARLY shoes the child INFRONT of her when she smacks him with the bag AFTER she pulled him infront of her by the ear.)

I know she's wishing she had taken those "parental guidance" classes now.

Police Locate Woman in Potential Abuse Video .
Plano police say they have located a woman captured on Macy's surveillance video potentially abusing a young boy.

Police did not identify the woman but said they had referred the case to a grand jury, which will decide if the woman will face charges.

Investigators did not say how the woman and child were related or how they located her.

The video, anonymously submitted to FOX 4 last Friday, shows the woman pulling the toddler by his ear and then hitting him in the head with a shopping bag, knocking the boy to the ground.

A tipster who saw the video posted on myfoxdfw.com alerted police to the potential crime caught on tape, police said.

I'm glad they caught her but i'll be interested in seeing if charges stick. I think she should not have done what she did but the news has reported much worse and the parents keep custody

I know what you mean, TM. But, maybe this will light a fire under her to not treat that poor baby like that anymore.

You and I both know that we would not smack our baby/toddlers upside the head, don't we?

I know I would not. I just want to know that this child is not being abused and that maybe she will carry a stroller around with her next time so that the baby can keep up with her impatient self.

I doubt that TM. If she acts like this in public you can only imagine what she might do/or have done to this child within the privacy of their home.

At the very least there should be a record of it so that if there is another incident it will show that this could be a pattern for her.

She didn't come forward on her own because she knew what she did was wrong.

Now to convince Applemom. :)

Give me a shopping bag and I'll smack her upside the head. Eye for eye, tooth for tooth says the Bible. Wait, would JJ and JPW then condemn me as a racist? Would I then be sent to White Settlement Texas and then only to be told the town name has to change? Oh the stupidity of all this (Being PC, not the child abuse that DID happen on the child). Poor kid.

Why can't people see what a blessing our children are?? We wouldn't sneeze at a gift of a million dollars...but we'll beat on a gift that is priceless? How sad!!

even video sometimes doesn't , how many doctored films have you seen, all movies are doctored to present what they want ya to see

That bag didn't look very light. Still wonders what was in it.

So Dak, you tend to want us to think that the Macy's survelance video is doctored? Wow. I think that would hurt Macy's more than the current tightness in the economy.

As for movies, yes that is Hollywood being Hollywood.

looked light to me, look at the angle it is in that pic, heavy would have been down and besides, you have no idea what has transpired up to this point to get things to this happening .

Dak I sure hope you don't have kids. If you do maybe you should be aware of cameras.

I have 4, all succesfully raised, the youngest is 38 years old , all are HS Grads, and very gainfully employed and have been for some time most of them have been since they were 18 or 19 , I must be a total failure to have accomplished that, huh?

Dak I don't have a clue as to what type of parent you were. But for you to defend what is obvious to everyone else sends out a signal. And there are many success stories of people who have overcome the odds even with bad parenting. Not saying you are one I just think it is odd for you to keep defending her behavior. To go as far as thinking the tape from Macy's wss altered??? As stated above, that only hurts Macy's instead of helping them.

someone was manning that camera , so who knows and like I said, you hae no idea what transpired before that happened either, there is no record of that, have ya ever had a terrible 2 yr old ?

Like I said in another blog, I think that perhaps someone had seen something previous and decided to start videoing her.

It doesn't matter what transpired before that happened. Common sense is that you do not hit a child in the head by swinging a shopping bag. I don't care if all it had in it was feather dusters it is still wrong.
