I know I should have posted this yesterday, but, here it is today.  To all those Mommies, Aunties, Godmommies, etc., out there.   Oh, and Daddy's, too!!

 *********************************

Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day,
With little time to stop and pray,
For life's been anything but calm,
Since you called on me to be a mom.

Running errands, matching socks,
Building dreams with building blocks.
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes,
And other stuff that children lose.

Fitting lids on bottled bugs,
Wiping tears and giving hugs.
A stack of last week's mail to read,
So where's the quiet time I need?

Yet when I steal a minute Lord,
Just at the sink or ironing board,
To ask the blessings of your grace,
I see then in my small one's face,

That you have blessed me all the while,
As I stop to kiss that precious smile.

Hi Luvmykid! :) This is so absolutely beautiful and so very true! It reminded me of when my son was so very young all those years ago.
It also reminded me of when I used to work at a day-care with very young children (2-3 yr.olds) Those children practically looked at me like I was their second mother. LOL

i loved it!
it is great to slow down for a moment, and be thankful for what we have.
and football!!! let him if he wants to play! i was that way when my son started...he wanted to play, i was scared to death....but you have to let them stretch their wings and fly. i put on his helmet and pads and had everyone hit me...just so i knew my son was protected...i felt alot better then.

lol Chatterbug.

That's funny!

Well, he has started practice. My poor baby comes home so tired. He practices from 3:45 til 5:30pm.

But, he is going to be playing wide-receiver. (whatever that is..lol) Guess i'm gonna have to start learning about football now and not futbol! lol

Ask me about soccer anytime!

But, thanks so much for the advice! **smiles**
