With over 100 cars in the pits for the North Texas Asphalt Championship Race, Mother Nature was the winner this weekend. Red River Speedway looked more like just River Speedway.
The weekend was not a total washout! Friday night Practice saw lots of cars, Barbecue & beverage consumption. Saturday the gates opened to sunshine with pactice in all classes completed...then the rain came.
The Track and there crew tried to keep the track dry but mother nature finally won out. After overnight night rains dumped as much as 6 inches of rain. Promotor Mike Cooper had to call the show off.
The race will be rescheduled for Nov. 18th. Gate will open at 9am and will be a one day show a full day of races.
More info to follow.
Thanks to everyone who came out. Look forward to getting the show in on Nov. 18th!
