It's started, the annual idiocy that leads to lake deaths. It happens every year people who cannot swim decide they can. It may take a few beers  but then they take the leap or stagger into deep water and they don't come out. Some people actually can swim  and still drown it's just that their alcohol blood level get's higher than their IQ and in they go too. It is simple , if you can't swim stay out of the water if you can swim don't drink and try to swim and keep your children out of the water too. JEEEEBUS CHRIFT Stupidity makes me angry

But swimming under the influence is akin to rocket science!

(Total sarcasm, btw.)

That is so true. It seems like people don't see beer as alcohol. But it is and it can cause the same type of lapses of common sense as drinking and driving.
PS. It's a factor in child drownings as well when parents are too busy socializing and drinking to keep track of kids.

Stupidity makes me angry, too.

When I worked in EMS, I found out that most accidents are alcohol related. I'm talking about household accidents.
I saw people try to use circular saws, power drills, lawnmowers, etc. while under the influence of alcohol.

One of the worst accidents that I ever saw was in a rubber factory. A drunken worker got his hand caught in a machine. Everyone knew that he was drinking, but they didn't do anything about it. Now, they (the company) get to pay his medical bills.

When someone would get their bloodwork back at the hospital that I worked at and the alcohol level was high, someone would always say, "Oops, it looks like someone took their stupid pill!"

There's no sense in taking the Lord's name in vain because of what you deem stupidity.

The implication is there. Use what you like, by all means. I was just saying that wasn't necessary to make your point.

I've heard a lot worse, mamatat. Maybe I was more disappointed in you as I had you pegged differently. Despite our differences, I respect you so perhaps I was taken aback by what I consider blasphemy.
