I am glad that poking fun at a major religion gets you too off so much.

I am not a Pentecostal like she is but I do have enough respect not to ridicule their practice of laying hands on someone and then laughing about it.

Perhaps you would have been satisfied if her minister and stood up and said

Soon after Sarah Palin was elected mayor of the foothill town of Wasilla, Alaska, she startled a local music teacher by insisting in casual conversation that men and dinosaurs coexisted on an Earth created 6,000 years ago -- about 65 million years after scientists say most dinosaurs became extinct -- the teacher said.


After conducting a college band and watching Palin deliver a commencement address to a small group of home-schooled students in June 1997, Wasilla resident Philip Munger said, he asked the young mayor about her religious beliefs.

Palin told him that "dinosaurs and humans walked the Earth at the same time," Munger said. When he asked her about prehistoric fossils and tracks dating back millions of years, Palin said "she had seen pictures of human footprints inside the tracks," recalled Munger, who teaches music at the University of Alaska in Anchorage and has regularly criticized Palin in recent years on his liberal political blog, called Progressive Alaska.

The idea of a "young Earth" -- that God created the Earth about 6,000 years ago, and dinosaurs and humans coexisted early on -- is a popular strain of creationism.

Though in her race for governor she called for faith-based "intelligent design" to be taught along with evolution in Alaska's schools, Gov. Palin has not sought to require it, state educators say.

The more more I read and hear about her the more I laugh at her unrealistic views.

Hey momcat, hadn't seen you on in awhile. I remember you had been pretty outraged at the "Governor Palin made victims pay for their own rape kits story". So the seemingly most credible attack on Palin's character was that Wasilla police charged rape victims for rape kits under her watch as mayor. They were allowed to until the practice was outlawed in 2000. But for the time period that Palin was mayor, 1996-2000, no rape kits were charged for. Maybe that is why she wasn't aware of it. Another lie bites the dust.

Do you have any idea how many obscure laws there are in small towns that no one is aware of? Or that Wasilla police department went from 8 to 24 officers between 1993 and the present? Seems like she was doing something right for the citizens of Wasilla.

well, as far as I know ,no one has ever identified how long a year was back then, and I doubt we will ever know for sure , they both could be right !!

I respect McCain for his service, but he should be ashamed for turning his back on present day vets. But that's not it takes to become president. There's a little thing called honesty, and helping out the middle class, something he failed to mention even once at the debate.

Well, we're either going to be rich or poor if McCain makes it to the White House. The middle class will be history. Fortunately for me I have enough to barely make it out of this country while I'm still financially capable of doing so, before the Reps figure out a way to wipe me out if McCain manages to lie his way into the White House. And I'll be taking my kids with me, so they won't be paying for their stupidity and selfishness. America used to be the greatest country on Earth, but the Reps have driven us into such debt that our kids will bear the brunt for years to come. You can have whatever the politicians are good enough to leave you with. I've worked hard all my life, and served in the military for 14 years, and I'll be damned if I allow these criminals to take everything I have. FOUR MORE YEARS, COME ON RETIREMENT!
