Nick Hogan threw himself at the mercy of the judge in Clearwater, FL in his felony reckless driving case -- and he got just a lil' bit. Hogan was sentenced to eight months in jail, five years' probation and 500 hours community service, and the judge yanked his license for three years. His victim -- and once best bud -- John Graziano's family had asked for a year in the slammer, but the judge didn't go quite that far. Nick apologized to the family in his statement, which, according to the Grazianos, would've been the first time he'd ever done so.
John's sister and girlfriend gave particularly heart-wrenching testimony -- the latter told the judge how she had to feed him and how they have to watch movies together in the comfort ... of his hospital bed,

Nick Bolea is a movie star brat. He didn't show any emotional remorse in the courtroom during his sentencing. His close friend John wil be living like a vegetable for the rest of his life. Wonder if the Hulkster will end up paying for John's medical expenses?

Why is it that we continue to give a free pass to people based on their celebrity status? What will it take for Americans to start demanding that the burden of obeying the law not be just one borne by the average Joe? I am personally sick of the adulation given to celebrities, professional athletes and such simply because they are known. If my kid had done that, he would be in jail and for a very long time. Why does justice seem so blind and aimless in the case of celebrity malfeasance?

I think he should have gotten a lot more than 8 months in jail! He is a spoiled brat who gets everything he wants. And I personally believe that this divorce thing with his dad and mom is a farce. I think he wanted to make sure that when he gets sued by this boys parents, he won't lose everything. That is my own opinion.

That's a very god point, Silverstreak55. Celebrities often get much better treatment than a "regular" citizen in court.
