Hello All, I have something to say about the drivers out there who think either the road is thier's, or are just in all reality, DUMB DRIVERS!!! It's getting close to summer time and everybody's getting all excited about vacations, and pool parties, and all other kinds of summer activites. Well, you know what? Its okay to be safe on the road going to where ever you are going to. Don't be in such a rush! I will tell you, I was almost involved in 6 accidents in a span of 4 days and ALL of them were people NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ROAD!!! Cell phone users, can it not wait till you get home or in a parking lot parked? People looking for something in your purse or breifcase, can it not wait till you get home or to your job... PARKED? People in general, are things more important than the road, other drivers, traffic lights, emergency vehicals, etc... to pay attention to the road? I can't help but roll my eyes about these people and try to go on my safe yet attempted merry way. If you don't want to pay attention to the road and other drivers, then your license should be revoked. Pay attention to the road or get off! Its not that difficult!

We will be moving to Montfort, Beltline, Tollway area, where the old Preston Wood Center used to be. We will be right next to HULLAHAN'S restaurant. I am just "FYI"ing everyone. I haven't been there yet, but I am just going by what my managers tell me. (they keep threatening to take me and show me where it is and how it looks... I'll believe it when it happens.... I'll bet April 20th...) If ya'll have any questions, please come by and talk to us. Hope to see ya'll soon, if not, then at the new store! I was up at the CRACK OF DAWN!!! (4:30a) and heard about a girl in Junior High getting suspended for wearing perfume and getting suspended for this because her teacher says she has "allergies". I don't understand why the girl was suspended. I think the teacher should had told her to go wash it off and come back to her seat. Not get suspended. I can't help but roll my eyes on this one. She was allowed back to school to take a test but then had to go back home when it was done or whatever. What happened to the days where a kid would get suspended for a fight or bringing a weapon to school? Has it now come to being suspended for simply wearing perfume? What about the boys who are just starting to shave? They have to put on after shave and that has a scent to it. Plus when I was in Junior High, everyone wore some kind of smell good to SMELL GOOD. The girls wore little make up and lip gloss. I mean, keep the kids who are threatening to bring a gun to school and shoot up everybody and send the kid who wore perfume home. This doesn't make any damn "scents" to me. Sound off if you agree with me! If this is going to be the case of things to come for schools, then when I have kids, then I will not send them to public schools. I will home school them. This is silly. Let me know your thoughts...

While I was at work today, I was having just another typical day. It was good and not too busy but steady enough to make money. I was with a tuxedo customer doing what I do best. I had to enter some information in the computer up front of the store and while I was doing so, my assistant manager came back in from lunch. She parked next to me. Twenty minutes later my operations manager had to go next door to DAVID'S BRIDAL to take care of some wedding things. (I work at MEN'S WEARHOUSE 635 / PRESTON) So while I was typing in some information, my ops. manager comes right back in and says to me, "Haley, your window's busted out on your car!" I frantically run outside and was in total and complete shock and aw! Glass was everywhere. My new stereo that my fiance had just installed two weeks ago was gone. Thankfully I always take the face plate with me everywhere I go. Car supplies and such that were in a black 3foot by 1 1/2 foot duffle bag were gone bag included from the trunk, the glove compartment was broken open. Needless to say I was livid!!! I am pretty sure I saw the bastard that took everything and was about to cross the street. He was about 5'10", black, wearing a white t-shirt, red nylon shorts and white tennis shoes. What goes around comes around and pay back is going to be a "B"!!! This happened in broad day light, and I am victim number 4 within a month! However, here's the thing, the other people left things in their car to be seen and screamed "TAKE ME!!!" I leave NOTHING in sight, and still my beautiful CHEVY LUMINA '99, turned out to be a "target". They wanted what was IN the car, not the "hunk of junk" itself. God forbid taking a '99. No just take the stereo port without a face plate that you can't do anything with. That is a dumb (_l_) thing to do. If you are the person who did this and are reading this, then you can go to you know where and be "friends with you know who"!!! PAY BACK'S A "B"!!! What happened to respecting other people's things?!?!?

Its Lint and I'm going nuts without my FRAPPACCINO MOCHA flavored cold coffee drink that I purchase from 7-11. I am going to blow if I don't get one! But I have to wait. I can not cheat on Lint. I would feel horrible if I did that. I am drinking coffee at work and its holding me over until Easter Sunday. I can't wait! But like I said I have to wait. Does anyone else have something they've given up for Lint and are going crazy without it? Like coffee?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Traffic
You know, on a daily basis, we drive past all the big 18 wheelers and cut them off. We don't care if they are there or where they are going or what they are hauling. All we care about is getting to where we need to get to. I used to think like that all the time before I became a security officer at a trucking terminal. Not a truck stop, a truck terminal. Big difference. We really take for granted that they are they and that they keep things on the move and deliver everything we need on a day to day schedual. Two years ago, I met and fell deeply in love with a trucker and he told me and showed me the ways of a truck driver on the road. I was very suprised to see and learn all the things that they must endure during a day of driving. We got engaged and he is still hauling what he is told to haul. The drivers of cars and other POV'S (personal occupancy vehicles) are actually very rude to truckers because they don't know the rules of the road toward truckers. Truck drivers do not get enough recognition like they should. If it wasn't for them, America would cease to move as fast as it does if at all. Thanks to them, we have all the things we need to keep our day going on a day to day basis. So next time you see a truck driver be him/her in a small local truck or an OTR (over the road) truck, just tell them Thank you for what they do. They drive 10-14 hrs in any given day. They need to hear some thanks. I let my man know that I appreciate what he does daily! Just by saying thank you can make a very big difference! They need to hear it and see it on the road! Be careful and watch out for them as they will watch out for you!

Music
I've heard enough of the music now these day. It is all starting to sound the same. This is coming from a person who is eclectic although listens to more rap and reggaeton that much anything else. I will brows through stations if something is not on that I like or a commercial is on. All the hip-hop is really starting to sound the same just worse lyrics song by song. It does not help these kids who are growing up now to hear the things that are on there now and the vidoes. The videos is worse than the song. Its no wonder these kids are having babies. If I could meet who started this whole new era of horrible song and dirty dance, I would fill thier hearts with love and kindness and try to make them see that what they are doing is distroying the youth population. Everyone wants to "pack heat" and everyone wants to "holla at a honey" which us adults who are familiar with these comments relates to, "carrying a bullet loaded weapon(of some sort; the bigger, the better)", and "have "relations" with a female be her dunk and not remembering anything or sober and being a victom of a "hit it and quit it" thug whose pants are about to fall off thier hind end." If anyone out there agrees with me, I appreciate the support. If anyone out there disagrees with me, then I hope you see the problems that this world is going to and through right in front of your eyes and quickly realize it. I am not trying to start an argument or make enemies but something has got to change and soon. Its gone from down to Earth music (Simon and Garfunkle and Boyz to Men) to triple X rated material that 5 and 6 year olds are listening to and remembering the lyrics then watching the video and doing the exact same actions. Someone do something!!
